Fairway Solitaire has recently garnered some pretty cool awards even though an evil gopher, McDivot, has been wrecking havoc on players. Apparently, McDivot’s antics weren’t enough to discourage editors and audiences at IGN, the Academy of Interactive Arts and Science, and Pixelated Sausage from giving their hearts to Fairway Solitaire.

IGN.com is a leading entertainment and online media company that is “obsessed with gaming, entertainment and everything that guys enjoy.” IGN editorial staff selected Fairway as one of the Top Five Mobile Board Games. Thanks to audience nominations, Fairway Solitaire won the People’s Choice Award for 2012!

Simultaneously, Pixelated Sausage’s Marc Kusnierz selected Fairway Solitaire as Game of the Year. “Fairway Solitaire HD is everything I love in a casual game.”

And, Fairway Solitaire has been nominated for two D.I.C.E. awards from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, Best Mobile Game and Best Casual Game. The annual D.I.C.E. Summit is the most respected and prestigious video game conference in the industry.

If you haven’t played Fairway Solitaire yet, you may want try it out. It’s available on PC/Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and via Kongregate. Beware the gopher. He’s a menace.
