Return to Ravenhearst

Today, Big Fish Games announced the next installment in the Mystery Case Files game franchise. Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst is currently in production and is scheduled to be released in time for the 2008 holiday season.

The new Mystery Case Files game marks the return to Ravenhearst Manor in Blackpool, England. This location was the setting for Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst, the third installment in the Mystery Case Files franchise. In Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst, players followed the ill-fated romance between Emma Ravenhearst and Charles Dalimar. The game comes to a close when Emma’s diary is reconstructed and her spirit is set free.

Details from Big Fish Studios regarding the latest release are sketchy at this time as the game is being kept tightly under wraps (even from other Big Fish Games Employees!), but the first two screen shots have been released and can be seen at the Official Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst Site.

Based on conversations with the Return to Ravenhearst development team, we know the game is emphasizing a more immersive, adventure oriented style of game play and will feature live video. Unfortunately, at this time, the team is unable to discuss more specific details. Hopefully, as we draw closer to the release date, more information will become available.

Stay tuned to the Big Fish Games blog and the Official Mystery Case Files Fan Site for the latest information.
