THE MISSION

Big Fish is looking to hire a Director of Marketing to manage, grow, and optimize user acquisition programs across several Free to Play (F2P) titles.  This role will be 100% dedicated to our mobile business, with the primary goal to drive new players to our F2P games. This person will manage and coach a 6 person team of media buyer leads and account managers.    

 

Reporting to the Vice President of UA, the Director of Marketing will lead paid acquisition marketing efforts to achieve KPIs toward engagement and monetization goals.

We are looking for a leader, not a follower. Someone who can move quickly and pivot based on what the data says. There is little to no hierarchy within our marketing group - we follow what the data tells us. Data is our boss.

About the Team

Our team is comprised of 35 folks. We are a centralized division that supports the game studios within Big Fish. Just think of us as an ad agency within a larger company. We have a dedicated design team and team of media buyers/account managers. Our culture encourages testing, allowing for mistakes, learning from those mistakes, and becoming smarter and stronger moving forward.

THIS INCLUDES…

  • Create and execute against media plans to meet the budget allocation and KPIs per title each month
  • Provide leadership over campaign performance analysis, identifying opportunities for improvements and ROI optimization
  • Manage, coach, and mentor a team of media buyer leads and account managers
  • Create and execute against both domestic and international campaign strategies
  • Monitor and react appropriately to the performance and budget pacing of each title
  • Work with internal account management teams to ensure efficient optimization of the spend
  • Work with internal product teams to optimize in-game KPIs
  • Ensure diligent monitoring and ownership of accounts and have extensive knowledge and insight into partners you and team works with
  • Help evaluate new business opportunities toward meeting goals
  • Day-to-day communication and feedback with partners and internal stakeholders
  • Strong ability to move quickly and adapt within a fast moving organization 
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Finance teams to leverage performance data to optimize marketing spend
  • Monitor key industry trends for strategic insight
  • Build and maintain relationships with strategic partners
REQUIRED ABILITIES, ACHIEVEMENTS, AND XP

  • 7+ years of experience in account management, media buying, or marketing. Mobile media buying is a HUGE plus.
  • 5+ years of people management involving performance coaching and mentoring
  • Demonstrated capacity for original thinking and independent initiative
  • Able to wear both strategic and tactical hats
  • Strong analytical & reporting skills (Tableau experience preferred)
  • Ability to establish strong rapport and credibility with internal stakeholders and external partners/teams
