Love the Mystery Legends games!
After playing Mystery Legends: Beauty and the Beast I had to see if there where anymore mystery legends games in the series! I found this game and couldn't quite playing until I beat it. I wish I would have bought the Collector's Edition and got the bonus game play. The graphics are wonderful. Cannot wait until the next Mystery Legends comes out!

Enthralling yet Disappointing
I am torn about this game. I loved playing it both times I went through it, and I have a weakness for the Phantom story in most of its versions.
If this had been a book, however, I would have thrown it across the room upon reaching the end. It was annoying to see the bonus level on the map of the non collector's edition. And I felt compelled to buy the CE because I wanted to know if the story continued, but then *that* one had a disappointing ending as well.
Knowing the original story, I could make some sense of why the developers did what they did, but I didn't like feeling like I was bribed into a cash grab. A little more authenticity to the original story would have been nice. I still recommend this game for its tension, challenging puzzles, atmosphere and gorgeous graphics. And if you are a Phantom buff like me, that's sometimes all you need for a fix.

Great Detail, Good Challenge
What I liked: tremendous amount of detail in the scenes and production; creative characters and atmosphere; interesting, fun and thoughtful puzzles; very long - even for an SE; challenging hidden object puzzles - some of the best I've ever played; a very beautiful game.
What I didn't: Too much wandering back and forth - and because it's such a big opera house, it made me a little crazy. Also, the ending kind of didn't feel satisfying after all that hard work! Perhaps bonus content found in the collector's edition helps wrap things up a bit better.

Chock-A-Block Full of Everything!!
ERS Studios has achieved a great balance in this game. It has beautiful and detailed scenes, many, many scenes. In addition to challenging HOS's, the puzzles were unique and not so difficult that you needed the walkthrough to complete. You will picking up unique inventory items, i.e. embalming fluid, 20,000 francs, black candles. (Nice to not need a crowbar every few scenes.) The story was suspenseful and solid, although the ending leaves you still wondering. You get a lot of game for your dollar. Great Game!

almost as good as the mystery case files. the only down fall is you need the sound on to hear the clues

Great game!
My only complaint is that I wish I had bought the CE for the bonus quest! This is a very fun HO/adventure game. Loved it! Oh yeah, another thing I would have liked is to have the option to turn off the sparkles but the game was still challenging (there were a couple of sparkles I missed) Graphics and sound were excellent also. You do have to revisit the same locations but for me that just adds to the challenge because you have to remember where items/puzzles are (no map!) It took me a little over 4 hours to complete the game....I would definitely suggest downloading the trial but I don't regret buying this game.
