Danger Next Door: Miss Teri Tale's Adventure
Great Game to Amuse Yourself While on the Phone
I loved the game. You can amuse yourself while talking to your boring relatives and acquaintances on the phone. Each chapter has its own map which includes a few scattered, hilarious animations [like a sprouting fire hydrant, a bus traveling down a short road, complete with sound effects]. The developers clearly had a terrific sense of humor and had a lot of fun making this game. [Can I work there?]
Voices overs included a couple charming southern accents and a hippy who is obviously on something. Artwork is colorful. In a few instances, part of the scene is hazy because you are looking at someone?s memories, which become clearer as they recall them. Otherwise, the HOS are clear and distinct. There is are generous time limits and hints recharge fast. Although the main story is a about a murder, I view this game as a farce on personalities found in a small town. [Some gameplayers will take offense that the murder is not treated seriously.] Besides the animation on the maps, there are quite a few animated spoofs suddenly appearing in the middle of, or across, the HOS, to make you chuckle. Found it very creative and unique. These would be fun people to know.

Entertaining Hidden Object game!
Danger Next Door is a great game! Doesn't have the super-graphics of other hidden object games, but doesn't need them. It's fresh with 2-D effect combined with photos, voice actors, and a murder mystery storyline. The characters are pretty amusing, and done in a light-hearted way. The puzzles aren't very hard but still challenging. This is a very entertaining game; I liked it more than I expected!

hidden object collages as puzzling as the plot
It's like a Frank Zappa album with a happy ending.
Murder can be friendly, but I'll let you play the game to discover what I mean.

Unique & packed with fun factor
Although this game is an older one the graphics have held up well and it looked fine on my newer machine. The music matches the detective theme and is unobtrusive.
The story is an ordinary "amateur sleuth investigates murder in a small town" one but it's so well done it feels fresh and interesting. Your character interviews multiple colorful inhabitants of the town and the HOS represent each person scouring their memory to provide her with clues. Each HOS has a theme to it based on the witness your character is interviewing.
The HOS range in challenge from fairly easy to somewhat difficult and they go well with the story. Mini-games are also cleverly integrated into the story line and, although they aren't difficult, they're varied and fun to do.
Between HOS and puzzles the story unfolds and this part is what makes this game so great. It's told with tongue in cheek humor and the graphics are hilarious. They perfectly suit this delightfully zany game and change it from something that could have been humdrum into something special. I laughed so much during the trial that I had to buy the game. It stays that amusing all the way through to the end and I just had a lot of fun playing it.
This isn't a game that takes itself seriously and it doesn't try to break new ground with an innovative story. Nevertheless it's one of the most fun-filled games of its kind I've ever played. It is truly unique and well worth the cost.

Just plain fun
Since this game had so few reviews, I wanted to add my thoughs.
I have not completed the game; my opinion is not affected by that. It is really funny and a pleasure to play. Such a nice change from all the morbid and dark ones that are available. Even during the HOG's, I found myself laughing out loud. In addition, it is actually a mystery.
In summary, this is just a delightful game and most refreshing. Great one to buy especially on sale or if you have earned a free game.

Not the best game, but it's nice and entertaining.
Graphics are well done, sound is a little noisy.
Lot interactive HOS, and several good mini games. Some challenging, others are easy.
The story is easy to follow and the mini games are related to it - as collecting (HOS) and examine (mini game) blood of the suspect.
- A game that does not demand much of the player, but good fun.

Strange but fun
The game was fun, the storyline is insane. The characters are crazy, but thats what makes the game fun. It isn't very challenging, especially if you use your rechargeable clover, so ignore the hints and take on the challenge! The graphics were odd, that was dull for me, it was child like except the game was not childish it contained adult situations and themes, but if you were looking at the graphics without reading the words you would be confused.

Danger Next Door: Miss Teri Tales
I found this game strange, bizarre, and just plain weird. The hidden object scenes are somewhat normal but the cutscenes are confusing with a bunch of random people, dogs and kids with superimposed heads on animated bodies?? Each scene has several list items to search for in a junkpile of random items and some of the items you find will be used in the scene interactively such as finding a dart and a blowgun, combining the two items and blowing the dart at a balloon to burst the balloon and drop the car keys that for some reason were tied to the balloon (that's some party) There are two modes of difficulty, Timed and Relaxed. The story is about a small town Mayor, Miss Teri, whose deputy Mayor is found murdered and Miss Teri and the local police man try to find out who murdered him and why. Nothing special enough in this game for my taste.

Not My Cup of Tea
My reviews are generally very lengthy because I want the people who read them to be able to get a real feel for the demo. And I always encourage readers to play the demo because it may not be for me, but it may be just your thing.
Saying that, I apologize for the shortness of this review.
Someone took my grand daughter's paper dolls, made their own cut outs and built a video game. The pictures below the description on the game page shows a "normal" HOG scene, however, that's not I got in the actual game play. The video describes the game as "quirkly" and "zany". I didn't get that either. Maybe today just wasn't a good game playing day for me.

Not for children
Review of completed game
The game takes a graphic and gory turn quite suddenly in the middle of the game. I found it jarring and disturbing. I do not think this game is appropriate for children. Apart from the bloody scenes, there is also drug paraphernalia (in one HO scene you have to find a "pipe" and it wasn't the kind you smoke tobacco in) and alcohol use.
I usually don't mind more adult themes in a video game but there should be a warning of some kind. I wasn't expecting adult material in this game and consequently found the material shocking. Since there is no warning posted for this game, I just wanted to let all the fish out there know what lurked in the shadows of an otherwise "cute" game.
Danger next door is a fair game that I would have given 3 stars for if it weren't for the lack of warning. The story is entertaining and resolves satisfactorily. So if you are an adult and don't mind gore, give it a try and see for yourself.
