Loved It This was exactly the kind of game I love. You move from room to room looking for things to use to get you to the next level. Sound was greart. Story was great. Challenging without being frustrating. This is a game I'd definitely play again. March 10, 2012
Creepy Asylum Game Haunted Halls: Green Hills Sanitarium is a creepy, hidden object adventure game. The story revolves around helping your journalist boyfriend Tim, who went to a strange asylum looking for a story, and who has not returned. Along the way, you will meet many patients in the asylum who are in need of help. The graphics and music are very nice in this game. There is only one mode of gameplay, and there are sparkles that indicate where everything of interest is located. There is no interactive map for this game, which means a lot of running back and forth. The puzzles were rather easy, like most games from this developer. But, sometimes, I had trouble figuring out what to do with a particular item, so that upped the overall difficulty a notch. I completed the game in around four hours. I enjoyed the end story, but thought the last patients to help were very easy to help compared to the first patients. (I would have liked a little more consistency.) But, overall, a nice, eerie game. Haunted Halls: Green Hills Sanatorium Okay, another asylum, hospital theme game. Pretty boring, and why there is this super huge tentacle moving around? the graphics are a bit morbid, like torture devices and stuff, but they're not creepy, they're rather disgusting looking. I kind of regret buying this game, as I don't think I will re-play this game. June 9, 2012
I HATED IT I really don't likr creepy crawlies, snakes or any thing like that and I am sorry I bought it, I can't bear to finish it. April 10, 2012
kinda wierd Graphics, good during play. Even when your "helping" people...but good grief, during some of the HO scenes it was hard to see, even on my laptop. The scenes were done well- not jumbled messes- they just wanted to stick with the dark theme, and it blends things in a bit too well. Music, fine. It seemed to be on the same loop, but you really don't notice it unless you concentrate on it. What really creeped me out was the little kids chattering #singing?# in the background of all the effects going on noise wise. The first time I really stopped and heard it my hair kinda bristled, it's that creepy. I played through the full version in three hours. I had to use the blog walkthrough for...one or two things, because I happened to miss them. I think it's a good game, and recommend it. As a side note, I also recommend the game F.A.C.E.S. to those taken by this game. It's also creepy-asylum, with a few added twists and better graphics. June 6, 2013
Creeeepy Creeepy. Very very very very creepy. April 25, 2013
My favorite of the Haunted Halls I love the Haunted Halls series, and this game was by far my favorite. Ten times the amount of challenges as the other two, and by far the best storyline. The puzzles can be extremely challenging, but that's what makes it fun. Definitely recommend. January 18, 2013
Loved every minute of this game! My review title says it all. I really loved this game....from beginning to end. I was involved right from the start. I had never played a game straight through before....I usually take my time and usually finish within a day or two maybe even a week. I didn't want to stop playing. Graphics are great, very easy on the eyes. Puzzles aren't so crazy that you get frustrated and quit. This game makes you think, which is entertaining as heck. I loved this game so much, as soon as I finished it I bought the second installment, Fears from Childhood. Can't wait to see what happens............. December 2, 2012
Just got boring I was holding out big hopes for this game after being advised it was similar to Rhiannon Curse of the Four Branches. It's nowhere near! The game got easier and easier as it went on as if the developers ran out of ideas. Literally complete a hidden object scene to retrieve a puzzle piece, use the puzzle piece and the room is a hidden object scene again. Boring!! Puzzle's are extremely obvious and pose no challenge. As for scary - slightly sick theme but scary it was not. A hangman's noose in the back ground of a picnic - big deal!? I found myself completely bored with this game and not caring about the plot. If you want an actual challenge as opposed to hidden object scene after hidden object scene this is not for you. November 25, 2012
Great...right up til the end. This was a pretty good game, although it did have that odd thing that games like this seem to have: the inability to use the tools you have to do what seem like obvious things. Like using a crowbar to break something. The lag between scenes was pretty severe, but I'm playing the second game in the series now and it seems to have been fixed. The main complaint I have is with the end - the last two rooms were simple and boring, and the ending was anti-climactic. And I hate "simon-says" type games, but that might just be me.
