What a great game!!! Fun, engaging, just the right challenge level for me and best of all, it just goes on and on! Hints and navigation are easy to use, the graphics are very nice. I almost NEVER concern myself with "story line", so can't guage the value rating for that, but, it's evident that we are combating some evil entity for the salvation of a community of people captured at the Manor. I love it! February 21, 2012
What a great Mansion! I really enjoyed this game. At first, the unusual style of the HO scenes was a little tough, but I quickly got used to the artwork and ended up really liking it. The monocromatic artwork in the "shady" HO scenes was also new and fun. The portals and other graphics were also delightful. The puzzles were fun and of mixed skill levels. I also enjoyed the variations on a theme of the rune puzzles. A couple times I accidentally hit the "skip" button thinking it was a "reset" button, so I'll still have some new puzzles to solve next time around. I will definitely enjoy playing this one again! back to old school! and FUN! Ever look at the concept art of the games? well this is like a comic book, graphic wise. This makes it challenging but not overly so. The character or unusual, you choos female or male voice over-you can skip through the dialog, but why? It's a fun game & probaly the original on note to meet at abandon mansion of the town. somewhat humourous & just a delightful casual somewhat easy gane February 6, 2012
Nice long casual game The game has a consistent story line. Visuals are interesting. The contrasts between the real world and the shadow world are well done and really add to the atmosphere of the game. Lots of hints and interactive help. I often refer to walk-throughs to make it through games, but not this one. Their use of maps to go directly from place to place should be in most games. January 24, 2012
Steadily Intriguing HOG I love this game, especially the concept of the Shadow rooms, and being able to click on the map to go to new rooms. The graphics were elegant, the Hidden Object scenes just challenging enough. January 23, 2012
Great Hidden Object/Mystery Gate I really liked the combination factor in this game. It does better than most I have played. I was playing to enjoy the game not to beat any records, etc... For that reason I LOVED this game. The hidden object puzzles were different and the mini games were challenging enough w/o being a major pain. Had a good storyline, some humor, and the graphics were also good. Didn't even need to look elsewhere for hints. I liked it (48) and my girls liked it (12). It really held our interest, too. interesting game I found the game a good one with an excellent environment and sound. The challenge of it was not exceedingly great but there is some fun to be had. Some of the HO objects were "hidden in plain sight" so when I actually spotted them it was like "oh...duh". Overall a good game November 10, 2011
My Favorite Game Love this game, I have played it over and over! It has a great variety of puzzles. December 10, 2011
Drags on and deleted Sorry - found this one to be very repetitive and deleted it (even though bought full version). The graphics appeared to lack depth and were junk pile in nature. Especially when playing after the excellent "Shiver, The Missing hitchhiker" this game looked poor in comparison in almost every area. January 4, 2012
Cartoon How this game ever got this high of a rating is beyond me.The music score is good but if you want quality graphics then this one is a failure.Finding objects which are drawn in a cartoonlike fashion might be easier for kids but compared with the lush quality of new games this one is very poor.I buy games that have visual appeal and this is good if you aren't looking for quality.
