My Favorite Game Love this game, I have played it over and over! It has a great variety of puzzles. December 10, 2011
This game ticks all the boxes An awesome game that deserves five stars and five out of five on everything else. At first I was very skeptic with it being in a cartoon version as there are very few of those that I do like and I have to admit that when I started, I really didn't like it. The first two HO scenes drove me up the wall, but I decided to soldier on anyway, liking it more and more in the process and by the time the free hour trial was over I loved it. The game is so beautifully done in artwork and concept that I got completely immersed in it. It's not dark or scary, but has a beautifully created surreal atmosphere. The voice overs are perfect and I really did enjoy them. The HO scenes are quite difficult as everything is drawn as cartoons of the real things and that does require to think a lot outside the box. The hint system recharges really fast, so if you get stuck, you won't be stuck for long. The puzzles are great and really likable and I ended up enjoying the types of puzzles I usually don't enjoy at all in other games. The game is one of the longest HO adventures I have played. It took me about three days to complete (couldn't believe it myself :-) ) but I enjoyed every minute of it. Well...not EVERY minute, but once I got inside the mansion things were becoming really interesting. The mansion is fantastic. Lots of rooms and not just rooms, but also rooms in different dimensions. So returning to the same room is never boring. Don't worry about having to 'walk' a lot. you can if you want to, but thanks to the awesome map that is included you can not only 'teleport' from one room to the next, but the map also tells you where there are still areas of interest and this eliminates the frustrating having to remember where goes what and entering a room only to find that there's nothing to be done. This is one of the best games I have played and I can highly recommend it. It may be difficult to top this one, but I really do hope these devs will come up with a similar game like this one. Couldn't Put It Down This was an excellent game that held my interest throughout. I played it pretty much all in one sitting. I only had to refer to the walk through a couple of times, which is good, because having to do that frustrates me and slows me down. The only issue I saw with it was that sometimes the hint would say there was nothing else to do at a given location while the map showed it differently. All in all a very enjoyable game. May 26, 2012
Super Value at $2.99 sale price This game is great and lots of fun. Graphics are fantastic and story line is exciting. Color is super and not too hard for a senior citizen that loves Big Fish Games every day! This game keeps your attention and interest. I recommend this game for sure to anyone. March 12, 2012
Excellent Entertainment! Really enjoyed the story line and the graphics. There was a great variety of puzzles and hidden objects. The map was a very welcome addition. My only complaint was the ending. With so much going on, my computer slowed almost to a stop to a point I almost couldn't complete the game. Overall though, I'm glad I bought it. January 1, 2012
Not too hard, not too easy Thought that this was a fun game with just enough challenge for me. January 7, 2012
HOG 5 Stars One of the best game i've played. Excellent in everything: graphics, sounds, plot, themes. November 9, 2012
Great fun for a good long time! I bought this ages ago but just got around to playing it. I played on the easiest setting and found it an enjoyable way to spend a couple of evenings. I am very sensitive to repetitive sounds/music but was able to have the sound on quite a bit with this game, certainly more than usual. I liked the voiceovers. The Raven was a bit odd, but given the story being it, it made sense. There is not as much hand-holding as in some games so I was a bit lost at first, but the hint button worked very well for the times I needed a nudge in the right direction. I liked the graphics in both the ?real? and ?shadow? worlds. They could be challenging, especially in the more monotone shadow world, but they were always drawn crisp and clear. The map is a great tool. It shows you areas where things need to be done in both the real and shadow worlds and teleports you to the room you click on. For the most part I enjoyed the mini-games. There were a few I didn?t care for, but the skip is available without too much delay. The game was a bit glitchy on my computer, Hidden Object scenes and certain mini-games would sometimes flash as I was clicking on items. But I was able to finish the game and it won?t stop me for replaying in the future. On the whole I think this is one of the better games I have played and suggest giving it a try. Kept me coming back. Just as I said, this game kept me coming back. Did not need the strategy guide because the game was so well designed to keep the player on the right path to solving the game. The tangle webs were the toughest mini games and since I didn't always have the time, I skiped a few. At first I didn't like the game but I ended up loving it. Kudos to the builders. October 6, 2012
So fun I've already played it twice! Great game. Decent length of playing time. Nice blend of hidden object and other type of puzzles. Beautiful richly colored environment. September 22, 2012
