advnture puzzle game with small amount of HO
Good game with a varied amount of different situations. The puzzles were also varied with different types of backgrounds. These were about the right amount if difficulty for me , I have played a few games and I think they would cause a new player a little trouble but there is plenty of help easy to get at..
Good interesting game

Very nice sequel
While not required, it would certainly help if you play the Dreamless Castle first so you can follow the story. On to the review:
The game took me just under seven hours to play. I didn't rush through, but I don't think I was stuck anywhere for long either. The puzzles are nice - a bit different than I've seen in other games. Many are variations on jigsaw puzzles.
The music is nice, relaxing, nonobtrusive. Graphics are very good. If you want a change from the 'escape from the psychopathic doctor' or 'haunted ghost town' stories, this is a great title for you.
It gets four stars from me only because I'm saving five stars for those rare few that rise high above the rest. This one was close.
Instead of Mahjong, the minigame du jour is a version of solitaire. Some of the sets do take a bit of planning to complete, but none were hair pulling hard either.
I recommend this game (along with the rest in the series).

Beautiful Game! And fun too!
This game is just so pretty, I keep playing it so I can go through the pretty moon fell woods. I'm a total fairy dork and this games fuels my weird obsession. The mini games are fun, but I'd recommend it just on the graphics and style alone!

Fun Game
I am a beginner in HOG's. I really like it. This is a perfect game for a beginner. I was a bit slow out of the gate, but once I got on a roll, it was very entertaining to see things take shape. I found myself talking to the game and when I found items and figured things out, it was exciting. I would recommend this game for sure!

An excellent followup to the Dreamless Castle!
I played this game first in the series so I was a little spoiled when I went back and played the Dreamless Castle. I could easily see how the series progressed both in the beauty of the artwork and the complexity of the puzzles that you have to do. The clarity of the artwork especially, still very beautiful, but even more defined than in its predecessor. I liked this game more because you're no longer confined to the castle grounds but exposed to the beautiful outdoors which provides so many more natural settings. Each scene is like a colorful painting out of a child's storybook with colors so vivid that I must tip my hat to the artisans who obviously take great pride, and deservedly so, in their work. It's like they harkened back to their childhoods as well with each stroke of the pen so lovingly painting each picture. The technique of using so many different shades of blue in one picture works because it's repeated in subsequent scenes and are absolutely breathtaking. The adventuring aspect was great fun too and kept me anxiously guessing as to where I would be lead to next. The only illogical part of this fantasy was where I was to carry a hot pot of tea up a ladder inside of a circular shaft to the roof ?!? I know we need to suspend disbelief with fantasy games but this seemed a little too extraordinary even for make believe. However, I love everything else about this game so much that it prevents me from giving it nothing less than the 5 star treatment. I love everything from the storyline with its mildly challenging puzzles to the colorful settings and fun animations.
The pocket dragon is back too. We saw it make its debut at the end of the first game when it was born and I'm happy to say it plays a big part in this game. I think you'll be delighted when you first come across it during your adventures in the woods. I want my own pocket dragon!

Great game!
I played this game for a combine total of around 8 hours. It is a really great game as a whole. The story line draws you in and it has a good combination of puzzles. If you don't like puzzles, don't get this game. I however love the challenges, the adventure, story line, hidden objects and puzzles. This is also a family friendly game. Overall I strongly recommend and will continue to follow the story to the next game!

too childish for me
I'm always looking for an escape from the usual horror story games but this one was just too childish. Everything appeared to be straight out of a children's book, even the graphics.
