A Surprising Little Treasure
When I first started this game I thought I'd made a mistake purchasing it. I quickly found this to be quite a gem. It's a hog/ihog with plenty of puzzles included. Some are easy but most were definately a challenge.I enjoyed the storyline and can envision myself replaying this game someday. My only problem (which was minor) is that the game seems to pause for about 3 seconds every now and then. Other than that it was fine and I highly recommend playing this. Have fun.

Defeat a pirate's curse in the Tropics
Nothing truly extraordinary in this rather standard blend of adventure, HO Scenes and puzzles. The artwork is quite good, well detailed but sometimes confused, and that doesn't make the hunt for items a straightforward mission. Some hidden objects are not particularly easy to spot.
Luckily the hint system is lenient and helps you find the items as well as determine what to do next.
However, the number of HO Scenes is reasonable, leaving plenty of room for the adventure and lots of minigames. Both the former anf the latter present a fair level of challenge and even though the puzzles are no novelty [except one] they are quite interesting and good fun to solve.
I enjoyed the demo, and the length of the game together with the variety of locations makes it a worthwhile acquisition.

Some hidden objects hard to find!
Trying to find the treasures to break the curse of the ring got a little tiring after a while. I wasn't able to play the game in one sitting and a journal or diary would have been very useful. Going back and forth to find things was made worse by the fact that the pictures of the items you were supposed to be looking for were very small and at times hard to determine just what they were. Some of the hidden objects were okay, but others were really small or too well blended into the background. I found myself using the hint button more and more because I wanted to finish the game. The different scenes/locations were visually interesting except for the fact that they seemed somewhat cluttered. Items that were hidden were time or place appropriate. The music added a sense of urgency in places, but it was repetitive and I ended up turning the sound down. Voice acting was okay.
There were times when I just wanted the game to end which, for me, indicates that it wasn't as good a game as others that are available. I don't regret purchasing it, but I doubt that I would replay it. I would suggest doing a demo to see if the size of the hidden objects might be a concern for other players. I'm not going to recommend the game because I didn't experience the feeling of enjoyment or success that I've gotten from other games.

Pretty good game. Try it!
You play Isabel, a woman on vacation in Barbados. Instead of the relaxing vacation you planned, you try on a ring and fulfill a prophecy regarding a pirate?s treasure. You must work for him or die at is hand. The game is pretty good. Some items were hard to find, but the puzzles were extremely easy. The hint did get a little annoying as it would just tell you to interact with something or move to another location. However, the find list did tell you an idea of the location since a little blue lock would appear if it was not located in the scene (for the most part). Sometimes, this lock didn?t appear even though the item wasn?t located in that scene. I would recommend at least trying the game.

A treasure in itself
I Just finished this game, and I have to say it was a GREAT game to play. Nothing fancy like the newer games, but I feel the game play well made up for that. You will get your money's worth.

Not a very interesting game
Other reviewers have given the story line which when followed by playing the game this becomes rather tedious. Not much action. Some interaction but mainly the old chestnut of being given a junk yard of objects from which to find objects by name. No variation on the HO games.
I ran the demo and thought that the game was worth buying. However the demo whilst appearing to promise a good game failed in reality. I'm glad I purchased this game on one of the Big Fish offers namely a purchase cost of around 2. This would be about the right price!!

Nice Graphics
Not much of a challenge, but nice graphics. Pretty typical of HOG.

A LUCKY FINGER? NICE TWIST ON HOS
STORYLINE: Isabel is on vacation and comes across a ring in a curio shop. The ring has been there forever and is waiting for someone on whose finger it fits. Isabel is that lucky person, so the ring is now hers. Along with the ring, she must track down 6 treasures of Pirate Flint or the ring will suck the life out of her.
HOS are a clearly defined mess of junk. There is an added element of interest to the HOS hunts: the list of objects are scattered among various rooms in the location. But to keep the roaming in check, since there are sometimes quite a few rooms, a little lock icon will appear on the object if you?re searching in the wrong room. HINTS work well enough within the HOS; however, you?re pretty much on your own outside of the HOS. PUZZLES are plentiful and the varieties are the usual choices. Average length.
