Spooky side of Christmas If you are familiar with the original Christmas Carol story you probably know everything about old Ebenezer Scrooge and his partner Jacob Marley. In this game you are a ghost of Marley. You had found some of your partner?s dark secrets and for that he killed you. Now, with some help from the famous Ghosts of Christmas future, present and past you must seek your revenge and stop evil Scrooge. For me the game was ok, I am not that excited as I expected, but I had a good time. Graphics are clear and done nicely, but sadly there was no voice overs and music was nothing special. Storyline was easy to follow and in some pats I found my self pretty interested in whole adventure. You have no map in the game, also there are no modes, and you have optional tutorial at the beginning. Hidden object scenes were mostly easy with no interaction, and puzzles not so much challenging, because of that my opinion is that this game is probably better for younger gamers. Big minus is the length, I personally prefer games which takes more hours to finish. Over all, this game is nice, definitely not a waist of time, especially if you are looking for relaxed game with not so much challenge and mind breaking puzzles. December 6, 2012
Christmas Fan I would say if your not much of a Christmas fan like I am, this game most likely will not be of interest for you. I did enjoy it but expected it to be longer. I got threw it quite easily and in very little time...I'm thinking this game might of been intended for a more younger gamer, but then again, when it comes to Christmas, I'm kind of a kid myself, hehe. I enjoyed the graphics, and I guess the twisted story of scrooge what were not use to hearing. But I think I would of preferred the original story of scrooge. Thanks Big Fish, Perry:) November 14, 2011
Really short, story not what I was expecting Oh dear. I thought it might be an interesting game due to story. I was looking forward to a story that resembled the book. This game was so easy and due to the slightly scary ghost and how it was done, I wouldn't even say it would appeal to children. The only good thing I could say about the game apart from the decent graphics is the HOS weren't junk piles. So what's not good about it? - - About 2hrs 15mins long -No voiceovers -No choice of gameplay -Random click penalty on HOS -Repeating HOS and they were in a smaller box -Easiness of this game was unreal, I couldn't even say the HOS were hard. The puzzles were so mind numbingly simple, adventure so straightforward. -repeating of one puzzle (rotate rings) 29 HIdden object scenes (roughly) Random click penalty. Repeat a couple of scenes 3 times, some others twice. I don't remember any tiny items. All list type non interactive. 13 Puzzles Of which about 9 of these are the exact same puzzle - same graphics everything. It's the one where the ball goes in the clock - rotating rings one. The other puzzles were 2 jigsaws, and the most basic arithmetic, and a really simple rotate circles. There weren't that many different scenes and you go back and forth between them. Nothing got me re this game, either the plot which so missed a huge opportunity to be more like the book and even well written. It was so easy and that is just so boring for me. It plays like a straightish HOG which can be OK if it's fun or interesting or different and I love Christmas games. Don't even recommend it as a DD, which thankfully that's all I paid for it. Didn't enjoy This game was frustrating to me. Interesting story line, however I couldn't get very far at all in this game. This game would probably interest people who enjoy more challenging games. I like the simpler ones. I had to quit and find an easier game. December 3, 2011
I don't mind a good parody But.... This ?Twisted? take on Dickens?s A Christmas Carol didn?t appeal to me. The graphics are OK in the HOScenes and the regular game play area, the puzzles are on the easy side, but also OK and the soundtrack didn?t bother me. But, I just couldn?t get over Scrooge being a murderer. The whole point of A Christmas Carol is that it is never too late to make positive changes in your life. Granted, I only played the demo so maybe there is a more upbeat theme later in the game, but the part I did play seemed more about ?bringing Scrooge to justice? rather than Scrooge being helped to break out of his grouchy miserly self to become a better man. So, this is a no buy for me. But I hope that those who do buy it enjoy it from start to finish. Keep your dorsal fin up Tauret December 10, 2011
Why Scrooge, Why??? Why did the creators of the game have to make miserly Scrooge into murderous, evil Scrooge?? Feh!!! The graphics were good, music and sound effects went well with the game and storyline was okay. The hidden object scenes were fairly easy as well as the puzzles. I would recommend this game if the player can suspend Dickensian canon and let the story unfold. This was difficult for me. I must say that I didn't really like having to look for so MANY keys. Overall a decent and fairly easy game. January 28, 2012
Not Recommended This would be an OK game for a beginner. The same gameplay gets boring very quickly. I thought it might get better so bought it anyway at sale price. Graphics pretty good but some objects were in the dark and not seen. Extremely easy for experienced players. I would pass on this one. December 11, 2011
Clever and fun-especially for lovers of Christmas Carol I thought this was a clever game based on Ebenezer Scrooge and The Christmas Carol. I found it to be fairly easy, but challenging enough to keep my interest. It was nice to have a Hidden Puzzle game that was actually relaxing to play! December 10, 2011
Hidden Object Game Too short and too easy. Storyline was unbelievable. Don't waste your money unless you are a beginner and need to practise December 11, 2011
Way to Short When I played the demo and then only get another hour after I purchase it's not worth it, not even for a DD. December 11, 2011
