Easy holiday gaming - not too much effort required. For light entertainment, and a game which is a change from the norm - this game will do nicely. If you come to this game expecting a full on experience of being in House as on TV, you expect too much. If you want the general feel and essence of it, and a simple set of games to push the story arc along, then this will meet your expectations. Format: I've casually watched some episodes of house on the TV, and this felt, mood wise and structure wise, like like playing 5 or so episodes of it. You have the main case ongoing that you try to solve, interspersed with the 'clinic' visits of a patient. If you do well, you get Wilson giving you kudos comments. If you don't do so well, expect some heat from Cuddy! There is a story arc which runs through the episodes which is a nice touch. Cheesy, but helped 'close' the game with some final overall ending. Mood of game: I found the humor mildly amusing (not "haha" funny, as I don't think it is meant to be. It fits with the poor humor comments you would expect from House) My other half said the pictures were not great, but I thought they were ok. Nothing spectacular, but House isn't fantasy land or anything. I was satisfied. No voice overs or anything, just reading of text, which suits me fine as you can imagine peoples voices from knowing the TV series so well. I think they captured the mood well enough with the scripts used. Mini Games: VERY simplistic and not overly challenging. - 'Guess the disease before it completely spells out' game as words bounce about the screen (I used to like hangman on "Speak and Spell" a lot as a kid! :) I liked this. - Lots of simple 'guess the implement to use on which body part' when assessing patients. A bit overly simple, but what else are you meant to do as a Doctor? - Catching bacteria zooming across my microscope view and sorting them into pots - again very simple. - Following instructions to take a blood sample, or processing it. A bit repetitive once you get further on in the game. But you know what, as overly simple as the games were, I really didn't want anything overly complicated on a hot holiday evening, and was happy clicking about for a couple of evenings playing house. It could do with being harder to make it more fun, but then I sense that the point of this game was more mood and story setting than game oriented. I didn't like or dislike this game, but I certainly do not think it deserves a poor rating. If you want a simple game for summer holiday, with slightly different game play, then this offering ticks those boxes. October 2, 2012
Interesting and Different. There is actually a Princeton/Plainsboro in South Jersey (NJ) so I was intrigued and thought to give the game a try. Interesting concept and different. Gamers would have to play demo to determine individual likes or dislikes. Have to examine and diagnose and there is a storyline. Not a purchase for me as I don't have the "patients" for this type of game. ^_^ Others may love it so I recomend since I've never watched the series with which to compare. January 20, 2012
Hey its HOUSE! Had to get just because I love House MD!! Didnt even try it out... I wouldn't normally buy.. but I love the show! Does take you through Differentials, but picking words as they float by.. rather boring.. starnge thing is as a viewer I know allot of the diseases!! Ok for a kid level.. no gross type blood verty cartoonish!! June 5, 2012
Not That Good... I decided to play the demo before I considered buying it. And I'm glad I did. I didn't even finish the demo because it bored me. It's nothing but the House version of the game Operation (*a statement I'm borrowing from another reviewer*). I will admit that I enjoyed the facebook game WAY more than this one. I will not be buying this game. August 7, 2012
Not Impressive The storyline was horrible. The 'jokes' were all misses. I actually thought it would be a cool game when I downloaded the trial, but was quickly disappointed. If the game was heavyer on the medical proceedures, and a lot less of the poor dialogues, I think the game wouldn't be as bad. I will not be buying this game. July 10, 2012
House MD Would love to see a sequel to this game! January 1, 2012
loved this!! this game was amazing and cool hate people that say otherwise March 8, 2012
Not as intelligent as the show House, M.D. We didn't like playing this game whatsoever. We expected something more intriguing and complex. This game gives House a bad name, they should find a new game maker for this game and reintroduce it. November 11, 2011
Like playing "Operation" on the computer I can't even believe someone wasted their time making this game. It's incredibly stupid. May 20, 2012
House MD I don't love it, I don't hate it, it's just there. January 24, 2012
