Epic Fail! Based on the demo. I'm tired of taking recommendations from BF that show up in my game manager. They all seem to be really old games that are duds. This one looked promising. It's about a romance writer who has lost her imagination to churn out another paperback. So off she goes to Transylvania. Really? She shows up at a castle and when she finally enters (she first goes across a pond using stepping stones to a cemetery) it's a wreck -- no one seems to be home. She goes to "her room" where there's a nice fire. I never have issues believing fairy tales in HOGs but this was too disjointed. Nothing was fluid. There is no hint button. However in the HOS you click on the object you can't find and it will be shown to you. There is no recharge time. There is no inventory. If you find an object, you use it immediately. This just didn't impress me at all. Please play the demo and read some reviews. For me this is a no buy and I certainly can't recommend it. October 28, 2014
If the demo is short, how long can the game be? I finished the demo in under 30 minutes which made the free hour of play useless. The interface is a little different and more like a first person perspective but it runs a little sluggishly. No hint button that I could find. Hints in hidden object sections by touching the item you are looking for which i found by accident. Pretty graphics and interesting interface but a lot of work to navigate. October 7, 2013
STORYLINE WAS INTRIGUING Review based on thirty minutes of actual game play which is about all I could take. Couldn't see hints, journal, maps, etc., the things I'm accustomed to seeing in a game. Not a game for me. January 16, 2013
the stroke of midnight The graphics are wonderful. That's the only good part of this game, in my experience. When you have to click on every little corner to try and figure out what to do next, a game becomes annoying rather than challenging. and when you can SEE what it is you are supposed to do next but the game won't let you do it, then even the daily "deal" price is too much. Work a little harder on the cooperativeness of the game, and get rid of the "talk you to death" aspect, and I might give this game another chance. As it is right now, don't hold your breath. dont bother I hated it. the game lead you threw one step at a time with no exploration at all. no tool box style storage. March 21, 2014
Awful!! Hated this game the minute it started, i usually get a feel for a game within seconds and that decides wether i'd like it or not...had to click several times to get an actual object into the place you know it should go, really frustrating at times...deleted this after 10 mins, though i did give it several chances before i deleted, just wasn't for me in the end.
