Game offers big fun in the Big Apple Based on the Demo: Perhaps not great big WOW factor fun, as it is a story about a young woman starting out on her own and trying to 'make it' in the city, yet, FUN! I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent playing, A Girl in the City. It was unique enough to be challenging and the graphics are good. There are a variety of different and interesting puzzles and in the process, it gives an opportunity to familiarize oneself with the layout of NYC. In addition to all of those qualities, the story is pleasant and thoughtful. Definitely a FUN game to play.... I'm giving it 5 stars because I enjoyed it so much that I kept playing even though it was very late at night and I was tired. It's offers good, clean fun.... now off to BUY! :) March 9, 2012
AWESOME HIDDEN OBJECT GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think it was super duper fun! November 21, 2011
I tried it, I liked it, I bought it. Ok, it's not the best HOG I've ever played but the story is fun, the characters are quirky. At one point it made me laugh out loud. One drawback is the very small items. Another was the black handkerchief I was to find sure looked red to me when I found it. If you like finding multiples of the same item, this could be the game for you. The instructions are very clear but you do have to read them all. When the demo ended, I purchased so I could contine. Give it a try - you might really like it. March 9, 2012
Give the Girl a Chance I have found "A Girl in the City" to be a good hidden object game with some twists and nice mini games. The object are of medium difficultly to find but the mini games make up for some less challenging aspects. As a Daily Deal, I find it to be well worth the price. March 9, 2012
Well... It's been awhile since this game out and I never review it. So I played this one until end and actually it's fun for spending my lazy time. If you are HOG lovers then try this. And I have rule for myself once I play the game, play it until end. That's why I gave it four stars because this game successed killing my lazy time. April 6, 2013
good but spelling errors are not needed I enjoyed this game and found it a good mixture of games and object but there was lots of double typed words and random errors thrown in which slightly confused me on some challenges but besides from that good. October 14, 2012
Good for Sale Price Only Game only took me a little over two hours to complete. Puzzles are easy but fun. Makes for a nice, relaxing game but, since it's so short, I would only buy it on sale. A plus is that you can play the puzzles over after the game by clicking on "bonus content".... You can try to beat your time and play the more challenging round (which I've yet to do - I'm more into relaxing, enjoyable, non-stress games ;) One minus is that the scenes can be a bit blurry (I played in full screen). Overall, I enjoyed it but it's very short. March 9, 2012
Beginner's Luck A Girl in the City reminds me of how timid I might have been in the Big Apple when I was fresh out of school. It is rather 'in your face' non-hidden objects, imho, but the fact that an expert could not figure it out, made me want to comment :) Sometimes, when we are used to things being very, very difficult, we need to go back to our roots. Look again. If it is in plain view, it does not make it the wrong thing to do. I have only played the free trial, but I bought it on the Daily Deal just to remind me that life does not always have to be so very, very hard. March 9, 2012
OLD FASHION HOG This game for me was like the very first hog games you played..everything right there in the open ..just click and click..no challenge at all ..the graphics are clear..music ok..but it is very laid back....it's not a buy for me even as a DD but you should at least check it out for your self..smiles to you March 9, 2012
It was a great game up until.... It asked for me to find a black handkerchief and the item in the picture was a red one. That was enough to make me not buy the game. If it weren't for that, and who knows what other errors there might be, I would have given it an excellent on fun factor and recommended it. March 9, 2012
