Whodunnit plus Hidden Object I loved the graphics of this game and the lightness of the scenes. Some games are so dark it is hard to decipher the scenes but not with this one. The story is fascinating and I really wanted to find out who had done it. The ending is both sad but beautiful - definitely one for the romantics. The puzzles are challenging but I felt good that I could do most of them myself the first time. Try it and I am sure you will buy! November 27, 2011
Very refreshing and entertaining I'm a huge fan of the games that are more light-hearted and are visually intriguing. This is exactly my cup of tea. Some of the tasks don't flow with the story but the hint button will work you through those. My advice is to use the trial to feel it out. Also, go through the tutorial because some puzzles give you tools to return instead of tools to use to move forward and ways to speed up the loading of the hint. This is a very good mystery with clever twists. December 25, 2011
Beautiful Historical Romantic Adventure GAME COMPLETED SEVERAL TIMES This is lovely romantic and visually pleasing game. It?s been a couple of years since this was released, and the graphics are lower definition than what?s available now, but these scenes are drawn so beautifully it just doesn?t matter. Every scene is beautiful, the music and ambient sound is soothing, heck even we are attractive! It is not a HOPA as we?d define it ? I think there was only one list HOS, but there were plenty of find multiples of this and identical pairs of that, plus lots of variations of jigsaw styled puzzles. These were all great fun. Some of the other puzzles were a bit of a pain because there was no real instructions for them. You could get a hint instead of skipping, but I never found it made a difference. When you?re sick of vampires and ghouls, mad scientists and deserted hospitals, here a good place to hang out with a sad but harmless pair of ghosts. March 27, 2013
One of the best This has got to be one of the best HOGs that I have played in a long time. The hidden objects puzzles were few and far between, yet, there were many different kinds of puzzles to play. As a whole, all the puzzles were challenging. The story was a riveting and sad love story. The illustrations were beautiful. The blog walk-through was helpful although I noticed a couple of small errors. These did not have a major impact on the helpfulness of the walk-through. I will play this again and again. It was worth every penny paid. December 31, 2011
Really enjoyed this game There are lots of interesting puzzles to do in this game. It is more of an adventure game with a hidden object component with intriguing puzzles to solve. Thoroughly enjoyed it and found it hard to quit playing:-) There are also awards, such as for not skipping puzzles which makes its a little more fun to play. December 11, 2011
Excellent Game Loving this game! Death at Fairingpoint runs smooth and beautifully with Windows 7. I appreciate that a LoT! Hogs are fresh and different than the usual, for example the player will be looking for 20 of the same objects (IE Bugs + Leaves etc). The Mini games are frequent and for the most part, are not too easy or too hard. There's a nice lot of "puzzle construction" type games certain to deeply indulge people that love putting pieces together. The graphics are bright and up - lifting. Fairingpoint is a great game to relax with. Well worth the sales price and certainly worth the full price. January 10, 2012
Relief from incesant HOG I am fairly new to these games but have quickly discovered that I prefer to be "active" rather than solve one hidden object puzzle after another. That gets really boring. I am not a romance novel fan but at least this game had a logical story to follow and you had some specific goal. And romance is far better than immersing yourself in one dark story after another. The graphics are great. I don't listen to the music on any game because it becomes tedious but the background sounds were just enough to let you know you were interacting. All in all a pleasant game. Am downloading Tuscan as I type. I also hope the developers read these reviews. Would love to see more positive games. January 13, 2012
Romance Novel Adventure Played demo only. Admired the flawless, detailed artwork. Soothing background piano music and slow gameplay is not for me. Little to no challenge. Great for romance novel lovers and gamers who like a slower pace. Very clean and wholesome game to enjoy with a younger daughter, granddaughter, etc. December 23, 2011
Too easy, short but I loved it I loved the story, the graphics and the sound but the game is really too easy. I finised it in 4 hours (almost no hints) and didn't need a walkthrough, puzles were crazy-easy even the hidden object parts were easy, but it was interesting non the less. Worth my 3$? Totally? Worth more? Nope.... But for romance novel-lovers it is great :D And I am one February 7, 2012
Very good game I purchased it on the Daily Deal expecting an average game and was delightfully surprised by the game quality!! The story is interesting and kept me guessing who did it. The graphics and sound are good. It was challenging enough that I needed to consult the Walk Through in a few places. Based on this game I will check out the other one in the series. February 7, 2012
