A fun and unique hidden object and time management...
I had actually purchased and played this game about a year ago. I did recall having problems with playing the game initially due to some major bugs it had, but ended up playing it successfully after reinstall. I played it again recently without any trouble and remembered why I wanted to pursue finishing the game.
The graphics are vividly clear and the storyline is fairly believable. I enjoyed rebuilding the restaurants. Somehow, it was therapeutic to clean the buildings, click away the trash and buy new features to beautify the exterior and interior of the restaurants. I also enjoyed the "Quests" of finding different items in an interactive game play to build or find needed items. I suppose that it was the "adventure" part of the game.
The main part of the game was cooking different dishes customers wanted by selecting the various food items, which I found fun even though some of the combinations of food items seemed gross and nothing I would ever cook together.
If you like TM games and prefer a little more pressure, then you can select "timed" game option in the beginning, however you may get frustrated with how the amounts and tips are derived to achieve expert level, because I could never quite figure out how the dish amounts and tips are derived. They are never quite the same and sometimes near impossible to achieve with the 3 or 4 customers you get in the level, even though you think you did everything perfectly and they all had full set of hearts. You definitely need to find the $ and other bonuses within the HOS to help.
The music was great and varied to fit the country and ethnic themes of the restaurants.
Overall it was a quirky and cute game. Definitely not your average HOG. A little on the short side as you can complete it in a few hours, but never-the-less a fun and unique game.

Gourmania 2
I took a chance on downloading the trial with only hearing that this was fun. Boy, I am so glad I did! This game concept is simple (just find the ingredients to make the customer's food choice) but very fun. Some of the ingredients are not everyday food items so that adds challenge. The minigames, while tedious, can be cool as well.

too frustrating to be fun
I completley enjoyed both the first gourmania and the third one. This one lack true "finding" satisfaction because they moved the ingriedients around for EVERY ORDER. There was no way to plan ahead in order to satisfy the customers time contraints as it moved the ingriedients needed for the next order once you completed the one before in order to move on.
Because of this (and other things such as requesting an ingriedient (like corn) and having it in the environment in two forms, but not clarifying, such as canned corn or corn on the cob,) I found this game far to frustrating to be worth investing in after the initial trial was over.

A Great Sequel
Good sequel to the first Gourmania. Find hidden objects and manage your time preparing food. Also, you can renovate a number of restaurants.

Finding Ingredients
Timed Mode or Relaxed Mode, this little game will make your head spin trying to find ingredients scattered about. Lots of cartoon color and fun faces! Mini hidden object games included. Enjoy!

Great concept and departure from ordinary hidden object
I bought this as a quick special deal that appeared on screen after purchasing another game, thought I would buy it at the reduced price, and was pleasantly surprised with the fun factor, graphics and the tasks needed such as painting , cleaning building etc....I really love this game
