Lovely Visuals - Venice Is So Pretty
PLUSSES = Picked this game up as a Daily Deal, and was concerned, because it had the look of older games. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was a lovely little gem of a Hidden Object game. I like the music and LOVE the graphics in this game. The story is set in Venice in the 1800's, and the opening screen features Venice in the background, with a gondola swaying back and forth in the foreground. The story line moves from London to a yacht sailing to Venice, and you get to search everyone's cabin. What I loved was that several rooms had portholes, and the horizon through the porthole moved up and down, so I felt like I was actually back on a cruise ship. I also loved the ladies' cabins, such pretty things to search through. Each cabin also had a dog, cat or other animal in it. In terms of visual appeal, a scene later in the game is a moonlight scene, all in shades of grey and blue, but as the moonlight drifts by the stairs, the area lightens. That was so beautiful I stopped looking for "23 keys, a hat, a bat, 2 of this and 3 of that....." to just enjoy the view. The game also had some unique mini-games, such as the flower embroidery and match-the-masks.
MINUSSES = The game lacks the sophistication and intensity of newer games. It has a few minuses, such as some HOG scenes have dark corners, and some HOG items are small and hard-to-find, but overall, I really liked the game.

Kinda boring
Based on the demo. This game has beautiful graphics, really good music, plus lots and lots of HOS games. No adventure to speak of, which is what I look for. If you're a die-hard HOS fan, then this is the game for you.
