Fun Hidden Object Game PLUS = I enjoyed the interactive nature of the game, very non-linear, I was wandering all over the place to find items and finally got them all. Had to use the walkthrough a few times to help me figure out what I was doing. But this game will have great replay value for me, each time I play I will figure out my own way through trying not to have to use the walkthrough at all. MINUS = The graphics were fairly good, but a little hard to see in some of the Hidden Object scenes November 27, 2011
Excellent Game Interesting Story I liked this game first of all for its ambiance. I enjoy hearing frogs ribbiting and water falling etc, where appropriate, and the music was apt. The graphics were great, very clear, although I do get tired of everything always being so dirty and rusty in HO games, and this is guilty too. I liked the way a HO scene then became a regular scene once HO was done. I also liked the way you couldn't go back to a scene once all action there was complete. This saves so much toing and froing when you're a bit lost. I didn't find the game too challenging, just the right amount of thinking and spotting required. The story was interesting too, with some surprising twists. All in all, definitely a good buy. December 11, 2011
Entertaining Hidden Object Game Enjoyable game, with an interesting story, lovely clear graphics, & spooky ambience. A good combination of hidden object scenes & puzzles, although the puzzles sometimes were a little easy. The game has sparkles, which is a big negative for some, but I found them fairly unobtrusive. Just a note, there are many comments in the forum about small & dark graphics, but I didn't find this at all, & had no problems on my laptop. November 29, 2011
A Disguised Love Story I really enjoyed this game! And to think I had it for months before I got around to it....due to buying many games on sale! And interestingly, I was just sent the next installment of Fear For Sale: Sunnyvale Story, for beta testing. So I look forward to playing that too! This game flowed very smooth for me...I would say just the right level of difficulty/challenge for an intermediate player....hope you like it as well. Happy gaming...and you have just got to love BFG, they are the best company. I had bought so many games on sale that I can play a new one each day to get me through the holidays, being a chronic pain person my games are very important to me since I don't watch TV! (sorry to ramble on!) BE SURE TO TRY THIS GAME...ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A ROMANTIC AT HEART! December 2, 2011
tedious Very good graphics. Cumbersome to frequently go back and forth between scenes. My advice, take advantage of the free trial before shelling out any money for this one. November 30, 2011
Awesome game! I loved it! This was a very interesting storyline! It also involved much thinking to solve the various puzzles. Yet it was relaxing to come home to after a busy day of work!!! I was sad when I got to the end; I just wanted it to go on forever! As an adult I was challenged, but my 10 year old son finished it before I did! Highly recommend this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was ok, but... I have only played the demo, in regular mode. From what I have seen thus far, this game is sort of tedious. A LOT of toing and froing, a lot of inventory items, and a lot to figure out...not only what to do, but how to do it, as items need to be placed pretty specifically. However, once completed, the Interactive HOS become scenes in the game. Once you complete an area of interest, it is no longer accessible, so that cuts down on the tedium a bit. The hint button takes a while to recharge in regular mode, but if you only use the hint to tell you which direction to go, it recharges in seconds. This game is not at all linear, so experienced players who like a challenging adventure type game, that requires you to think and wander around, will probably enjoy it. For anyone else, you will probably need the walkthrough constantly, or use the hint a lot, both of which are time consuming. It seems to interrupt the flow of the game, and can be frustrating. Maybe it was designed this way to make the game seem longer or more of a challenge? The graphics IMHO are kind of grainy. Like everything has rough edges to it. Perhaps it was designed that way to give an unsettled/creepy type feel, but I think this game could use some refining. The HOS are dark...most of the screen is the same shade of grey and items blend together, so you need to look very carefully for the shapes of the HO, not the colors of them. IF the graphics and scenes were beautiful, crisp, and clear - even in the shades of grey, I don't think this game would be so tedious. You could enjoy wandering around, taking in the beauty and appreciating the artwork. The music can get on your nerves. Much of it is the type of chords you would hear during tense, suspenseful, or rushed scenes in a movie. It doesn't seem to fit, as the the game progress is so slow. It almost makes it more frustrating, because the music makes you feel like you need to hurry up, but the game play itself makes hurrying impossible. The story line isn't really that captivating...at least not enough to overlook the flaws. The story itself seems to be an afterthought. Only there to hang the HOS, and Puzzles on. Most of the game is running around doing busy work, but rarely is the story presented. I almost think the developers rushed this game. It has so much potential that was not utilized....too bad. I would recommend this game to Experienced Adventure gamers, who enjoy games that require you to think, and are a challenge. For anyone else, this may not be your cup of tea. I'm still not sure if I will buy this game, even though it is the DD...I'm not sure I like it enough to spend even $2.99 on it. As always, try before you buy!! December 31, 2011
Good Hidden Object Game I enjoyed the game play but the only problem was that the graphics were on the dark side so had a hard time seeing them. It was a chalenge and storyline was different. Think when I play it again, will be easier. Puzzles were good too. January 2, 2012
A solid effort. Managed to complete this game in an evening without getting too stuck or needing a walkthrough, so a great game for beginners and intermediate although experts might not find it challenging enough. Turn the music off to enjoy the effects............the rain, croaking frogs, thunder etc really add to the atmosphere of the game. Storyline seemed a little rushed, personally i would have liked it to have lasted longer and taken a bit more to piece the story together. Graphics were lovely and the hidden objects fairly straightforward to find. There were not many mini games (which i love) or other puzzles really so i personally wouldnt replay this one, but if you can get it reduced or free by using one of your credits then its a fun way to spend an evening. How I wish it had a map! I liked the mini games - many were different to the usual run of the mill stuff and they certainly were not difficult. The music was pleasant and unobtrusive. The story was nothing special but that did not worry me too much as I play for the action not the story. On the downside I found the HO's dark and hard on my old eyes. Several objects were really difficult to detect even with the aid of a hint! The real reason for my three star rating is the amount of to and fro in order to use the inventory items. With the use of a map I would have given this game a higher rating. January 6, 2012
