Haunted Legends: The Queen of Spades
I Want to Give 4 and a Half Stars
At first I was not too fond of this game. It seemed pretty generic and not very creative. However, as I got into it, I really started to enjoy the plot and especially the creativity of the mini-games. They were not super-difficult (a good thing!) and they were quite varied; also, there were a few games that I actually have not seen before. I also found the game quite long with tons of different locations. I personally don't mind going back and forth but if you do, be advised there is no map. I had no problem remembering where things were, though, as the locations were adequately differentiated. The places where you had to apply the various inventory objects were fun, creative and novel, which to me is a huge plus. The reasons I did not give this 5 stars were: 1. I found the graphics a little depressing - they were very clear but perhaps a bit muddy?; 2. there wasn't much in the way of music, and it got a bit repetitive (but you could turn it down so it was not bothersome at all); and 3. if you didn't collect all the cards, you had to go back and search every single location to try to find the missing ones. Here comes a huge thank-you to the person who wrote the walk-through and enabled me to find my missing card without devoting an extra half hour at a minimum to the game. I absolutely would buy more games in this series.

Worth spending some time on
The story line is gripping. The game play is different & original. A good one to sit down & finish.

Haunted Legends Queen of Spades
It was a good game but the walkthrough had more than the version for iPad,so in that respect it was dissapointing and the bonus level for iPad stunk .I liked it but it needs some fine tuning for the iPad version

Very odd ending!
I'll get right to it... great game, great challenge, and artistically it is one of the best I've ever played. The drawbacks are the length of the game (very long in the regular mode), revisiting of areas too much, NO HINTS outside of HOG and some areas magnify even when there's nothing to do outside of read the same clues that automatically go to the diary after seeing them for the first time. Also, the ending is really abrupt, left me with the same feeling of the series finale of The Sopranos... "did it end or did something go wrong?".

A fun game with an interesting plotline
ERS, known for turning out excellent games, has done it again with Queen of Spades. The graphics are well done, the music nice, if repetitive, and the story line well thought out.
This is a standard HOG Adventure game with a mix of HOG scenes and puzzles. The HOG scenes are the typical junk pile scenes, but the items are clear enough to find. The puzzles were a good mix of standard puzzles seen in other games with newer puzzles. There were more HOG scenes in this particular game than puzzles, which tended to drag the game down for me because too many HOG scenes tend to bore me after a while. For the devoted HOG lovers, this will not be an issue.
My only real gripe with ERS is that they don't switch up their music often enough and after a while it becomes so repetitive you have to turn it down. I have found this to be the case with some of their other games as well. The first Shadow Wolf Mysteries game was the first one that the music didn't bother me.
Outside of that minor annoyance, the game was well done and worth the money.

The graphics are good. The game keeps you interested. I splayed it all the way through on my first time as I was interested in the outcome of the storyline.

I was intrigued with this game. The ONLY thing I would complain about was the monotonous music...a little more variety would have been more enjoyable. The game itself was awesome. You really had to be smarter than the average bear to get thru this in a snap. I loved the challenge. Thanks and kudos to the creators.

UNREMARKABLE BUT VERY PLEASANT GAME
SUMMARY: Game took 4 hours to complete. You?re investigating a series of murders and missing people in a castle owned by a countess with magic cards. You must deal with her traps and funny little assistant (just looking at him makes me laugh). Find the deck of magic cards, one by one, which are used in the finale. Easy to forget why you?re there or what the goal is except for finding the magic cards and following the imp (or is he following you) because the story doesn?t seem to have a continuing connection. In fact I forgot the storyline about half-way through, so just contented myself with continuing playing just for the pleasure of it. It?s a pleasant enough game to play if you like lots of HOS and puzzles. Somewhat surprising ending ? guess some people are easily fooled.
Just a couple details:
HOS ? list based; hand-drawn with one predominant color, so objects are blended and more challenging to find
PUZZLES - mildly to moderately challenging (sliding blocks, gears, wires).
GRAPHICS ? spooky and clear-cut. Some 3-D.

This game was very interesting. I loved having to collect the cards. The hos were a little grainy and difficult to see in some areas. The storyline was good. I would've liked to have had a map and/or a hint button during gameplay when you get lost. That being said, I am going to go look for more of this series.
