Empress of the deep i LOVE this game.i played the first one about ten times in one day because i loved that one too.this one was a bit easy but i don't really care.mainly because i spent 5 months going on and on about it until my best friend threatened to pul apart my books. April 5, 2012
FABULOUS STORY CONTINUES!! Enjoyed the First game in this series and Liked this one Even More I recommend Buying Both of them and playing them in order to get the full effect If you play this one Before the First one There is a spoiler for the First game as soon as the game begins and Really Ruins the Fun of the First Story If you are looking for Challanging mini games This is Not the game to buy! A great sequel--Still to be continued! This game had beautiful scenery. The puzzles weren't insanely hard, which could be good or bad. You didn't have to wreck your brain trying to figure one out. The hidden objects were super fun. The game was quite long, so you definitely get what you paid for and then some. March 24, 2013
What a Fabulous Game - If Only It Were Real I can't say enough good things about this game. It was beautifully done - from the excellent user interface, superb graphics, lovely sound and music to great characters and an ending that I wish could be real. The puzzles were not too demanding, and the HOS were well done with beautiful graphics. The voice of the blue whale was perfect - reminded me of Dumbledore in Harry Potter. I play many games and don't mind those with an element of horror. However, this game was a welcome relief from those and leaves the gamer with an upbeat feeling. Truly enjoyable! January 15, 2013
Disappointing sequel Having enjoyed the first one, I bought this with high hopes....oh dear! The gameplay was slow, very predictable and also a short play time. Don't bother November 26, 2012
MY NEW FAVORITE This is now my favorite game. It doesn't tax your brain, but is just a relaxing, fun game without all the dark atmosphere of a lot of games. The graphics are excellent, the storyline interesting and logical, and the navigation through the game relatively straightforward. I particularly like the fact that you are told when you are finished with a given area, so there is no question about whether you need to come back for something else. The Hint button worked both in and out of the HOS and was very informative with specific instructions. There is no choice of difficulty level and the mini games were not that challenging. The HOS were fairly easy except for maybe one item here or there. I only had to refer to the walkthrough (which I did not find on the Big Fish Games web site) once. It could have been longer, which is related to the fact that it is a very enjoyable game. Now I will go back and play the first installment of this series. October 15, 2012
Got me deeply involved This game was fantasy through and through, out of the ordinary, unfathomable, unrealistic but having said all that was a very enjoyable and engrossing game. With no walk through blog some of the areas really tested the old grey cells and was pretty tricky and challenging in many areas. Anna must seek out and save the four children of light from the clutches of Pandora and along the way rescue and heal a number of enchanted animals. A very good story line even though it was a little far-fetched. The colourful bursts and reactions as new areas became available were well done and added to the surprise effect of what to expect next. The dialogue between Anna and the Blue Whale with interjections from Jacob added to the enjoyment and intrigue during the whole game with an ending you probably wouldn't expect. The graphics were excellent... what more could I say. The puzzles were different, unique and many were quite involved, the main aspect was to try and figure out what was required and with no blog this was sometimes a real challenge. The hidden objects did not present any major problems in locating most of the items but just a few tested the eyeballs. I really enjoyed this one, perhaps 4 1/2 stars would have been a better rating. Great game!! Really enjoyed this game. Wonderful story line with great graphics and sound. Was sorry when it was finished. WILL DEFINITELY play it again. Well worth the buy. July 15, 2012
Empress of the Deep 2 The game was too much fantasy for me. It's hard to use logic and reason when everything is magical. There's no sense of humor throughout the game, no witty banter, and nothing special happens when you click around the rooms. The graphics seemed like an older-style game. The difficulty of HO was nice, not to easy and not too hard. There was a bit more creepiness toward the end than i would have liked, but not as bad as most ghost buster HO games. HO scenes aren't revisited which was a plus. The game is separated into 4 "seasons" and their corresponding worlds but there was still a lot of running back and forth to free the children and all that nonsense. Overall I find myself missing the real world, but I'd recommend for those like me who like games without the scare-factor. July 9, 2012
