Supernatural soldiers You are an agent with a mission to stop Dimensional Vortex form destroying the world. You must go to the abandoned military hospital and find out what happened there many years ago.. 2 modes of play: regular with sparkle indicators, hint button recharges fast; advanced with no sparkles and hint has slower recharge. Storyline is excellent, I was very interested in discovering all the clues. Visuals are really good. Music is barely noticeable, but sound in the background were creepy and they contribute nicely to the atmosphere. Sadly no map, only notes and your top secret documents that you collect along the way. There are two types of hidden object scenes ? one classic with listed objects ( interactive ), and other with shown objects that must be placed on the right spot. Puzzles are numerous, most of them are tricky but that?s what makes it worth playing. Really cool game, I recommend trying it out! March 1, 2013
Good game and not that hard The anomalies are a good game series. The HOS do need a good eye but you can find most of the items. The puzzles are fun and most are not hard to do. The graphics are music are good. I like voice over and this one has it in most areas. You do not need to run all over the place to find clues. I feel the the pace is good but predictable. Not a hard game to me. November 12, 2012
Okay The military experiment setting is interesting. The scene cuts, etc. are well done. The story starts out somewhat promising, but the ending seems very rushed. Did not at all care for having to revisit previous Hidden Object scenes at the end. The display was grainy and dark throughout, though it's possible my display's to blame for some of that. There were some HO scenes in which objects had to be replaced rather than found, which I like. Game play was okay - nothing really new or innovative. The Hint feature wasn't very helpful. (You could pick one interact-able item in the room and a ghostly, grainy image of its solution would appear, even though that puzzle couldn't be solved until near the end of the game.) I did consult the walikthrough several times, when I'd missed a small onscreen object. Fair amount of running back and forth. Overall, it's not that this is awful, but that there are better examples of its type out there. November 28, 2011
Love the atmosphere I love abandoned houses and buildings and in this game the rooms in the abandoned hospital is very good. I also liked that no ghosts nor spirits appeared but the skeletons were kind of cute. You should try to touch some especially the one in the elevator. I liked the humorous comments of the player character when he/she got an item, too. November 26, 2011
Too short Game length is as important to me as visuals, challenges, story line, etc. I thought the graphics were quite good. Mini-games in the demo were good, but you've seen them before: pipes, key tumblers, switch combinations, etc. But I did the demo, without hints or skips in 40 minutes. Examining the walkthrough says this is about a 2 hour game for me. With a new game everyday, plus a backlog of games I'm still wading through, there isn't enough here to put it on my buy list. Not What I expected...better! Not your typical run down, abandoned, disorderly hospital, there are guard towers on the perimeter of the hospital. The story takes place in the year 1915. Scientist are experimenting on patients (who are soldiers), trying to create the ?perfect soldier?. ?Three modes of play casual, expert and hardcore ?No map ?Hint button will zoom in on a needed action & show you what item you will need, if there is nothing to do in that specific scene it will not show you where to go or what to do next it merely states there is no abnormal activity here (but there may be a task that you need to perform), it can be very misleading. ?Inventory, I carried one specific item almost all the way through the game before I used it. You will carry certain items for a good length of time. Perhaps my logic of things to do and places to go did not match the dev.?s intentions, this did not stop me from proceeding in the game it just meant I held onto certain inventory items longer than I should (at least that is what I think). ?HO scenes are junk pile and in some instances dark, sometimes items are rather small and yes, even in expert mode you have sparkles. ?Two types of HO, standard hide and seek from list (very limited interaction) and place items into scene. You will need to think outside the box (ie: use a knife to open a can of food). ?While there are several HO scenes (a dozen?), I would say this game leans more to adventure/investigative genre. ?Graphics are ?grainy?, not crisp and clean?this is an abandoned run down hospital, so it felt appropriate to the game. ?Approximately 6-7 movie scenes that you probably should not skip as they help to understand what happened to the patients. ?Music is, well it was so ?background?? that I didn?t even notice it. ?Sound effects are very good, creaking, slamming, like a haunting should be. ?Occasional voice over by the doctor who hired you was well done, he is sick and dying, the actor performed very well with accent intact. ?Some to & fro but not excessive, as there are no chapters you have free range to roam throughout all scenes whenever and how much as you like. ?Length of play, there is a clock in your journal, mine stated 4 hours 42 minutes that is without skipping any puzzles and getting stuck (I missed the wrench). Overall the game exceeded my expectations. It is quite challenging. Be sure to check BFG walkthrough, or if you just want a hint check the forum. Beginners may get frustrated, intermediate challenged (apparently self-proclaimed experts as well- insert smiley face here) and hard core players, well I can?t imagine! July 28, 2012
Good of its Type Started of well the graphics were good sound ok you had to keep going back to the same Hos again and again looked a bit cheap some of the HOs I just did not get them a bit disconcerting , The ending was done a bit quick as if they had to finish the game some how not one of their better games Sirikite January 30, 2013
