Beautiful Hidden Object Game I bought this game as a sequel to the Witches Curse and was not disappointed, I did have a little trouble with the bonus game but it was me not the game. I would recommend the Return of the curse as well as the fisrt HOG. They have beautiful graphics, nice story line, interesting puzzles, and good music. Loved it! January 10, 2012
wonderful hog I have bought the two installments of the game (the first one "The witch curse" and this one) and i have been rewarded by two beautiful stories, interesting and funny characters, catching screenplays. Try them and you will become addicted, you too. November 15, 2011
Not even close to some of the best... I played the complete demo, and found this game to be very uninteresting. The storyline is boring, the artwork is good, but not great. There's not much in the way of hidden object games. I thought there would be mini games, but there's not. I play a lot of hidden object adventure games, and I found this to be just mediocre compared to games like the Puppet Show series, Mystery Legends Phantom of the Opera, Weird Park, and even Mystery Case Files 'Madame Fate'. I love that game, even though it's not an adventure game. I don't reccommend this game, because there are just too many others out there that are so much better. April 4, 2012
FELT LIKE A CHILD'S GAME I was very disappointed with this game. On the one hand, it was difficult to get started because the hints weren't very good & it was hard to understand what was needed. Once I got in the swing of things it went better, although it remained a challenge. The childish voices & piping fairie's voices made me feel like I was playing a child's game but no child would be able to play this game. The graphics were gorgeous, I have to give them that & some things were interesting. Story was good as was the level of challenge. Still, I found it a bit disconcerting. August 22, 2012
Nice game with a good length Although the beginning of the game can seem a bit strange, I recommend not to give up. It gets better and better. There are 2 game modes. The fairy and the nessie are cute and helpful. The HOS are clear. The puzzles are sometimes challenging. There is a good interactive map, useful because of all the locations. The music is also appropriate. I needed 2 hours for the main part, and a bit more than 1 hour for the bonus chapter, which is also real good. October 26, 2012
Very let down. I bought this game as it was on offer and I am really glad I did not pay full price. The Strategy Guide was USELESS in fact the hint button gave much more information. If I hadn't managed to find a walkthrough on a free site, I would have been unable to play a lot of it as I kept getting stuck. When it came to the Collectors' Edition Bonus Chapter, I had to leave it as although I put smoke on the mirror (instead of freezing it - my mistake!), I was not allowed to then freeze it after reading the walkthrough. Luckily as it was right near the end of the game, I did not miss much. I enjoyed the original game but certainly not this one. August 14, 2012
Disappointed. Got nowhere on my trial. Gave up. Maybe it was just me, but I was so frustrated with this game. The hints (fairy) kept telling me to do things that I already knew I needed to do, but couldn't figure out how. I finally gave up as this was certainly no fun. I didn't even get very far. For instance, this game may have been fun if I could have figured out what to do with the fly, how to use the well and how to open the door. That is as far as I got. I felt stupid, thinking that the answer should have been obvious (and maybe it was... I just missed it?) I have completed sophisticated games before, so I don't believe that I am incapable. Perhaps if there had been more help in the hint, I might have got past the first little bit and made some headway. Other games provide you with more information in the "journals." This one gives you tasks only and nothing else. There wasn't even a "tutorial" to let you know what "ability" meant and how to get it. The game just kept saying that "I didn't have that ability yet", but not how I was supposed to acquire it. As it is, I won't buy this one. Games should be fun. (If someone out there could provide some insight, I might reconsider). August 9, 2012
It's a fairy tale... and a very good game Frankly speaking, I don't understand why some people just play the demo and then send in a "review" based on nothing but that demo. Return of the curse is a wonderful fairy tale, with lots and lots of interesting gameplay. Please, go back to the years of wonderment and immerse yourself in this story, full of creativity and inventiveness. Of course, nothing is perfect and everybody will find something negative, a game should have the "merit of imperfection". As for the rest: the graphics are superb, the puzzles are very challenging, the HOS are quite doable, the map comes in quite handy and helps you painlessly through the game. There are lots and lots of scenes to discover and explore, lots and lots of things to do... no, this is definitely one of the better games I played lately, and it makes me want to replay the first installment. ok not great About the same as the other one. Not bad. Not that much for an adventure game but the HOS and puzzles are good. May 9, 2013
gorgeous I really enjoyed this game as I did the first. The drawing is really beautiful. The scenes are bright, colorful and detailed. I love the fairy and the new little baby dragon. I have fun with their abilities, especially the bonking and breaking of things. The mini games were quite original (coloring tatoos etc) and there was plenty to do. Loved the evil laughing puppets and just basically the whole game. For sure a good way to spend a few hours. I would buy the next installment in a flash. Compared to a lot of the game out there, in this series the creators have put a lot of thought, effort and time into making it detailed and engaging. I haven't played very many other games where you have animated companions and that are drawn this well. Good game and can't wait for the next one. I even bought the CEs of both these two which I almost never do. I gave it four stars only because I thought the only thing this game lacked was anything unexpected. Nothing made me jump in my chair and it followed a predictable pattern. But that pattern was quite good. August 25, 2012
