Lots of fun!
This game provided me with lots of entertainment without being to challenging. I enjoy the thought provoking games but don't really need them to be overly so. This game fills the bill and at the same time the visual effects were marvelous as were the accompanying sounds. The story-line and the mini-games all made sense!

Try it you will like it.
This was a good game, however for me I found the puzzles challenging and take a little time but at my age thats true of everything.

Relaxed Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure Quest
I just finished this game today and had a great time. The navigation is logical and while there is some backtracking it is not overdone.
The artwork is really nice and the HOScenes and mini-games took some attention without being too challenging or frustrating. They were just a nice part of the game play.
I used the hint button a couple of times in HOScenes but really didn?t need it in the mini-games or the rest of the game play. I didn?t need the walkthrough at all (which is rather unusual for me).
At first, I thought the ending was a bit of a letdown but after taking a few minutes to think about it decided it was OK and in line with the rest of the story. For those that dislike cliffhangers or ?to be continueds? be assured that there is an ending.
If you are in the mood for a relaxing few hours in a castle setting be sure to give this a try.

Great Game
The game is really packed with absolutely beautiful graphics and animations. I thorougly enjoyed playing it. The puzzles were neither too simple nor too easy. I liked the music, too.

A Bit Too Easy, A Lot Too Short
I'm reviewing this game based off the demo as I won't be purchasing. Spirits of Mystery: Amber Maiden is a cute game in line with other ERS games but not as gothic or dark as the PuppetShow or Redemption Cemetery series. Also distinguishing it from ERS other games is the fact that this game is extremely easy.
The biggest challenge is the HO scenes (which comprise the majority of the tasks) but only because the scenes are so monochromatic it's difficult to see different, especially small, objects. Even with that the HO scenes are quite easy.
The mini-games come with instructions that are all but step-by-step guides how to solve the puzzles and the puzzles themselves are very simple -- I would wager a bright 10 year old could complete them in a few minutes each.
The tasks/adventure portion is also very simple with objects you need rarely being far from where you need to use them. Often times they're used in the same scene or in a scene one click away.
All-in-all this was a very simple game more suited for children or early beginners than anyone with a bit of practice with these type of games. I finished 3 chapters out of 7 (the length of the demo) in 45 minutes and from the walkthrough it's clear the chapters don't get progressively longer.

Easy fun only if you LOVE HOG
Too many HOS for my taste. I did not like game for this reason. Some of the puzzles were good but not original. There just wasn't much thinking involved. Storyline is predictable. You don't have to figure out where you are going the game unfolds sequentially. I have not finished the game yet and I am not sure if I care about finishing.

Predicable.
Puzzles not challenging to an advanced player.
