Tears of Joy for this Game!
The longer I played the more I liked this game?
Difficult enough to be challenging.
Challenging enough to provide hours of game play.
Game play worthy enough to be a CE.
Honestly -- I can't find any fault with this game. I like the artwork. I like the expressions on the characters you meet. I like that he H0's are scattered all over -- more like finding loads of inventory items. I like how you must figure out how to use / combine every single one. I like the occasional puzzle (none too hard but different from the usual). I like the progression through the different areas you must traverse. I even like the quirky, somewhat non-story. I like that there is a helpful diary and a task list if you want to use it.
It takes a while to get into this game, but you will before the demo is over. Voice overs would have been a nice addition, but this one still gets 5 thumbs-up from me.
I had fun the whole way through. Story and game feel most rewarding upon completion. This was the most innovative, challenging, delightful, intriguing, engaging game I had played in quite a while. It was beautiful from start to finish and the ending warmed my heart.

One of My Current Top Ten Games
This is a game that you will either hate or love. I happen to love it. For each chapter you get a pictorial list of what you have to find and use. At the end of each chapter you will have used all your current inventory so that you start fresh for each chapter. I like that. The locations and challenges are unique and very creative. This is a great game. I wish the developer would make more like it.

Just did not enjoy...
I expected to love this game because it was billed as requiring a little detective work and extra thought in solving puzzles and acquiring inventory items.
The concept sounded great but the way it was executed sucked the fun out of game play.
The graphics were crisp and clear with a fairy tale motif, some of the puzzles were pretty clever, the music was not memorable, and the storyline was weak.
Damper on the fun factor -
Tasks: While the cursor would indicate areas requiring action, the player was left to figure out just what that might be. This would involve a fair amount of back and forth between scenes and guesswork.
Inventory: Figuring out that acquiring an item involved a series of steps using multiple non-inventory items within a given scene was trial and error rather than logical deduction.
For example:
**spoiler alert**
at one point acquiring a key involves lighting a candle that reveals a needle that is used to pop a balloon revealing the key. There was no rhyme or reason connecting the scene with the items used or the inventory acquired and no reason to think that additional action was expected in that scene. In another instance inventory items are applied to a painting including skewering a pear on the end of a sword that a bear is holding???
**end spoiler alert**
The game was ok and I'd recommend it just for some of the cute mini-games and the fact that others might enjoy the extra complexity no matter how illogical.

Unique ! Different ! Superfun !!!
The most important is to be patient with this game. When you reach Chapter II - you won`t stop playing anymore. This is REAL TREASURE on BFG portal and probably the one of the best game you can find here.

Beware the Hype
This game received a lot of hype as the potential "Game of the Year" but I was very disappointed when I played it. It was hard to follow, with poor instructions and an illogical story line. I made it through to the end, but it was such a struggle to figure out what to do, that the game became a chore instead of fun.

"Tearstone" Yes! - Yes!
Yeh! DragonsEyeStudio! This game is Hot! Hot! Hot! Love the challenge, game play and the graphics are awesome. The characters are cute too. Seems different from your regular HOG. You move from scene to scene and interact with the objects (all helpful) in order to travel from one place to another. It's a whopping "5 Stars" for me, cause I'm lov'in it!

Much better than expected!
This is a great game...which surprised me. It seemed to be dated, but once I started....I couldn't let it go. It took me days (off & on), which usually results in me wandering to another game, but I didn't with this one. I did have to check out the walkthrough a couple times....so that shows it isn't as easy as you'd think. Give it a try....you'll be surprised.....not too hard, but not too easy either.

A little bit different HO
This game has nice graphics, a fair storyline, and interesting play. It offers a different angle on HOs in that you are giving a group of picture items that you must find and place within each chapter. There were also some interesting puzzles; however, you were given the solution to most in the notebook.
I don't think the game offered a lot of challenge since I finished in less than my average time. However, it was rather fun to play. I do think it is one of those games that you will either enjoy it or not.
Another one of those rainy day games.

Awesome game!!!
This game is absolutely brilliant!!......The graphics are beautiful & I love the different characters.....I've only played the demo but after 10 minutes I knew I'd be purchasing this game......I just came across it while browsing thru the HOGs & very glad I did......I've never had such fun playing a game & it is different than the normal HOGs.....The hint is very helpful & most of the objects are easy to find......There are a few I couldn't find but that just made it more interesting.....It takes time to get thru each scene & I like that, the game isn't over so fast.....BFG & the developers of this game really outdid theirself this time......I just hope you will be bringing more out just like it......Kudos BFG & keep up the good work!!!!.....5 stars all the way...

Loved Tearstone
Twenty minutes in I bought it... didn't want my trial time to run out and interupt me. Graphics were very nice... It was a nice change to look for items in different places instead of one place...
I had to check the walkthough a couple of time just because I was over thinking things... I should have know... mind you the second last combination that you must make made no sense to me... but then again maybe I was just being to logical...
I would love and hope to see more games like this....
Well done to all those involved in creating Tearstone.. : )
