Tearstone 3.8 5 36 36
not great but good I could not get it off of the help screen so I could play it. A different kind of HOS. Not bad just not my cup of tea. I did not get any voice over. April 26, 2013
for me this was an extremely hard game it was a good game but i had to consult the walkthrough a lot. the hint/skip charged slowly for me. some of the items you needed to find were very small. you had to be very precise to pick things up and click on things. more so than i liked. there isn't a map but that is not really a problem. there is a journal. each chapter is in and of itself. what i did hear of the music was typical for this kind of game. i played casual. 10 Stars! A Beautifully Written, Enchanting Adventure Game! Not a HOG per se, this awesome and endearing game has it all from hidden objects to puzzles with the entire game relying on logic and following clues. BFG offers variety to us members and Tearstone is well worth the CE price in length and quality gameplay experience. Trashing this little masterpiece just because it's not specifically a hidden-object game is undeserved as BFG has more HOG's than any other genre game offered. Tearstone demo provides a true sample of the game--unique. You just cannot read into this game and dissect it as any other--there's no voice overs and, thankfully, no morphing objects. Gamers must allow the game to be played as the Developers wrote it and simply go with the flow. Allow yourself to be swept away with their magic, artwork, puzzles, games and observe the small clues purposely left in your path--to complete your journey. The only "warning" I would suggest is that logic, common sense and an aura of calm and relaxation goes along with the game. You will be charmed and know that you have been touched by "Tearstone" upon completion. Enjoy! -Mama Mia- January 11, 2013
A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!! 'nuff said! Get this game! enjoy December 7, 2012
Great for a DD Fun game. Different. Objects to find are described in miniatures. Not the epic adventure we've grown to love but fun. Graphics were a bit fuzzy. December 7, 2012
GREAT!! i love when the puzzles are challenging, but not frustrating..especially the mini games.they were each different..glad i bought this one.. January 27, 2012
Love To Hate It The graphics were beautiful but so full it was very difficult to find things. I found it hard on the eyes from the boxes showing what to look for to actually looking at the scenes for the items. The journal helped me to connect to the journey more then the play out of the journey itself. Otherwise I would have been confused. There was just enough to keep me busy but on the verge of almost giving up. It was a very different game and think it might grow on me. I hate tutor windows but actually needed it at the beginning and gritted my teeth through the whole learning process. Some items were just too small to see what they were. Like in the recipe book. Very small and could not figure out what some items were. So random clicking solved that problem. So parts of this game were enjoyable and the scenes beautiful. I would not recommend this game for just anyone. December 7, 2012
Awful Hidden Object Gae I never give a review but after reading all the "great things" about this game, I bought it. I have never been so disappointed! It reminded me of a book or movie that starts out bad but you keep going because you are thinking 'It's got to get better". This one did not. I would not recommend it to anyone. December 8, 2012
Complicated for no reason Why should I need a "mixer?" I should be able to place one item on top of the other to combine them. HOs were difficult to find, and the overly complicated directions in the beginning drove me away. The graphics were very poor, the whole thing seemed remedial, like a practice attempt at making a game. December 7, 2012
Good game but tricky in parts Enjoyed the game but a little frustrating at times as hidden/interactive areas sometimes hard to find. July 6, 2012
