Tearstone 3.6 5 46 46
Needlessly complicated It feels as if, in their search to make a game that is different from the others, the developers added additional levels of complexity that do nothing but slow it down. The "magic mixer" in particular was annoying. Plenty of games require you to put things together -- none of them make you wait while the "magic mixer" runs its course, over and over. The items you are to find are not necessarily in the scene you are in, so you spend a lot of time going back and forth trying to figure out if you've missed an object -- or running through your hints to make sure. The few puzzles that I played were elementary. The hints were next-to-useless. It wasn't hard to figure out what to do -- I just kept dropping things until something worked -- but the actions were not necessarily logical and so I felt no satisfaction, just relief. One real frustration was finding exactly where to drop something. I must have hit that wall three or four times before I accidentally got it right --- and yes, the gears were running every time. The story might pick up, but what I saw was not enough to convince me to continue. June 12, 2013
Tears of bordem i could not get into this game atall tried for 70 mins and gave up and deleted it a waste of money for me. may be ok for you though?? June 11, 2013
I just couldn't get into this one. As an experienced gamer, I'm always willing to try new things when I read that a game is different from the norm. So I went into this one with an open mind knowing that it might take some time to grow on me. Okay, I made it well into the third chapter when my hour was done but it couldn't have come fast enough for me. I actually like the wandering around that a good adventure game entails, but trying to find the items needed in the various scenes here seemed unusually difficult for me. It didn't help that I found the music strange and obnoxious, which has never happened to me in a game before, and each scene was visually unappealing to me for some reason. The way a game looks holds tremendous clout with me and affects how much I like it, but I felt just slightly nauseous during the whole hour. And some of the places, like putting the items into the holes, took many clicks before the game accepted them, which frustrated me even more and made the gameplay a chore rather than fun. It just took too long for the game to proceed smoothly and it didn't hold my interest at all. Whether this game is more for beginners or the advanced crowd is up for debate because I think it comes down to how much patience you have with what you're presented with. I just didn't like what I was seeing so I couldn't enjoy playing this game. I really lost interest early on but wanted to complete the trial hour in order to write a fair review, but I didn't like it any better when time ran out. More power to those who bought this game and played it through to completion more than once. Obviously, there's an audience for it and I hope more games like it are made for those who appreciate them. I'm just one of those who don't, but there are many games on BF that I love and will continue to play so there's room in the gaming world for all of us. December 8, 2012
worst game ever Sorry, this game did not make me a happy camper. This game is nothing but a big bunch of annoyance and useless non-help. I should have downloaded the free hour. Hints are like "go to another area" or "try another scene", nothing useful just vague stuff. Things you use which in turn makes more inventory do not all automatically appear in your inventory box. Some scenes lock you out so you can't get back to retrieve them. Overall, I spent way too much time trying to figure out how to find how things work. Some clues you don't realize you can even access because a ghost's aura is blocking entry or some heat lines are masking a possible entryway. The actual puzzles aren't difficult. But not having a clue what to do - and no useful hints to help - just made this frustrating. Not what I look for in a game. Live, learn and delete. April 7, 2013
WASTE OF MONEY Tearstone So I read the reviews and chose to buy it well? I made it half way through it got no better it was the worse game ever if I could get a refund I would this was a total disappointment. There is nothing good I can say about this game. Try the trail before you buy or you could be wasting money, I should have. I wouldn't even give it a half star sorry folks :(? Good Luck! June 8, 2013
Awful Hidden Object Gae I never give a review but after reading all the "great things" about this game, I bought it. I have never been so disappointed! It reminded me of a book or movie that starts out bad but you keep going because you are thinking 'It's got to get better". This one did not. I would not recommend it to anyone. December 8, 2012
