Fantastic Game! I played the demo of Mystery Trackers: Raincliff for about two minutes before I bought the game. I love this game. It is more adventure than hidden object, although there are plenty of hidden object scenes. The game has three difficulty modes, and you can earn achievements for accomplishing different actions in the game. The graphics are beautiful, the character acting is good, the story is interesting, and has a few surprises. The puzzles are good; some are very challenging indeed. On the hard difficulty setting, there is no option to skip the puzzles. The length was longer than average, which is great, in my opinion. This is the second in the Mystery Trackers series. I am looking forward to the release of the next mystery! December 8, 2011
Great game! The story is good, reasonable and followed in the game. The HO scenes are well done. Graphics and sound are excellent. The use of the Hint button during the game gives excellent info about what to do, which is good because you need it. That's the only thing I didn't like about the game - obscure use of objects. Also, too much running around - pick up an object on one screen; use it many screens away. December 12, 2011
OK Hidden Object Game While this game was ok, it was a bit of a disappointment compared to the first Mystery Trackers game, which I loved. There was no real storyline, & way too much traipsing all over the place, and constantly having to go back & forth, instead of being able to do things in a more logical sequence. I really liked the diary in the first game, & found it very helpful, but the video diary in this one was just a waste of time. Some of the puzzles I found irritating, while I like to be challenged, some of the puzzles in this game I found down right confusing, & had to resort to the walk-through to work out what to do. Having said all this, I do not regret buying it. I think it is more I played the 2 games too close together & was maybe comparing them too much. November 29, 2011
Lots of Hidden Object Scenes This game was a great buy for me at the 2.99 deal. It has beautiful wintery scenes, lots of places to explore, lots of HOS's, lots of puzzles, choice of difficulty, and has achievements. If you get stuck, and you will, a hint will point you in the right direction. The story line was a little ho-hum, but I still enjoyed playing. A nice mix of real actors and animation made this game easy on the eyes. There is no voice overs, just sound track and ambient noise. I would rank this game up at the top with MCF's, not quite there, but still a good one to play. November 30, 2011
Absolutely great! This game went on and on. I was very pleased with the length of game play. Includes some puzzles I hadn't seen before. I would compare the Mystery Trackers games to the Mystery Case Files series. You won't be sorry with this one! December 2, 2011
Just Awesome!!! This was a Masterpiece of a game! It was long and involved and I loved every step of the way! It was artistically very pleasing, just hard enough and really gave us our monies worth. It challenged me to remember what went where and I have to admit I asked the frog a couple/several times. I do have one negative thing to say and that is the puzzles were a difficult at times only because the directions to them did not make sense. But all and all I thought this was a great game! GREAT MYSTERY, HIDDEN OBJECTS, EDGY, CREEPY, FUN MY PARTNER AND I LOVED THIS GAME ONE OF OUR FAVORITES, WE LOVE THE MYSTERY, WE LOVE THE GAME MOST OF ALL BECAUSE OF THE HUMANITY IN IT, LOVE LOVE IT. November 29, 2011
another good entry in IHOG I really liked the Void game so I felt if Raincliff were its equal that would be a good thing. Well, Raincliff surpasses its predecessor. It is a long game with lots of back and forth throughout the venues to be explored. The storyline is a bit more plausible than the Void although the player must suspend belief to a degree. The HOG scenes are a bit better than average and the puzzles aren't too tough. Though not on a par with the MCF games, the devs of Raincliff have put out a really professional entry into the IHOG realm. Since there is this special price for the top 60 games of the year, now is a great time to add this one to your repertoire. December 27, 2011
Long game, but not enjoyable It was a long game but I didn't really enjoy it. There weren't enough hidden object scene. Plus using the inventory items in the manner prescribed didn't make any sense to me. And some items stayed in the inventory for a really long time. There was alot of going back and forth, and using the hint button to figure out what needed to be done next. I liked The Void alot, but this one was a bit of a letdown. December 24, 2011
Couldn't stop playing it! I completely adore this game. I haven't played one I've found as exciting or intriguing since. I would recommend getting the CE, because you a miss bit of good story otherwise. It's still a great game, even if you don't get the CE, of course. The puzzles and challenges aren't extremely hard, but they're not too easy, either. I definitely found a few I had to fiddle with for awhile. There are live action scenes, which are pretty good. You can't expect super good acting from a HOG, of course, but I quite enjoyed it. It took me about 5-6 hours to complete the first time. I've played it about 6 times since. :) I can't really think of any criticisms, I truly enjoyed this game. Highly recommend it, and definitely in my top 5. :) December 28, 2011
