Fun Game
For the most part, I enjoyed this game. The graphics and sound were good, the storyline was pretty good, there were lots of puzzles and enough HOS for me. I enjoyed finding the frogs, they really cracked me up, even though I'm not sure they served any purpose. The hint button recharges fairly quickly and is actually helpful when you're stuck.
I did not care for the video diary, would have preferred a regular diary. I really wish there had been a map to click between places. There was a lot of running back and forth, which got old after awhile.
The story had a satisfying ending, which I really enjoyed. This is a long game, so you definitely get your money's worth. I would recommend this game and will probably play it again at some point.

Fantastic Hidden Object/Adventure Game
Well, this is pretty much everything you could want in a HO/Adventure game. Visuals and sounds are great. Long game play. A truck load of locations to explore. Lots of mini-games and actions required.
The story gets a bit weak at the end, but what do you expect from a computer game. You go to the abandoned town of Raincliff to find out what happened to a group of college students. They went there to find out what happened to the town's inhabitants, who all disappeared. It involves roses and something else, but I won't tell.
You will wear out several pairs of shoes walking around in this game. Some areas become off limits after you've completed everything there, but many stay active until the end. LOTS of walking around.
I played in the hardest mode (no sparkles) and I wish I hadn't. I had to refer to the walk-through several times because I missed something. In a number of places, one 'area of interest' is very close to another 'area of interest.' It is very easy to miss the second one. Trust me I know.
If you are up for a real challenge, you will love this game. I still suggest an easier mode. It will be more enjoyable.

Elephant games without the extras can be irritating
I found the game more irritating than fun. Too many places to visit, too many puzzles needing elements, and when you find an element you need to hit "hint" to figure out WHERE. No one has that good a memory, and having to keep asking "what do I do with this" is too much to ask...
Elephant games does that too often. We overlook it because of details like otherworldy, magical settings, or cute helpers, or just an intereting storyline. But here we keep gong from room to room, and not learning much except that we may have to backtrack somwhere else we have forgotten, or something we may need later on. And no characters to talk to us, or to identify with.
Others might like it, and enjoy the challenge. I find it just annoying and I did not feel I was missing anything if I deleted it and got something else that I enjoyed more.

Ridiculous
I managed to traipse through the demo, barely. I love HOPA games. I loved the snowy look and the look of the abandoned town. However, finding 15 objects in the beginning that had no use at all didn't impress me at all. I'd find a tool, use it along the way, and find out, oh hey, that';s not good enough... I need another tool. That's not adventure. That's fill to make the game longer. I'd rather play a game that is 2 hours long and interesting and that makes sense than one such as this that's more like a wild goose chase.

Not that enjoyable
I really wanted to like this game, as I enjoyed the first Mystery Trackers one. But I found this game just frustrating and irritating at times. The constant going back and forth between so many scenes got very repetitive, and without a map, it felt like a waste of time. After a scene was completed, you're not locked out of it, which makes you wonder if you're actually done with the scene. The puzzles were fun, for the most part. The clues they give you though pretty much tell you what you need to do, which takes away some of the fun. It took us longer than normal to finish this particular game, since we we're not as invested in it.

Awesome, Awesome game!!
This is by far the best hidden object game I have played on Big Fish. The story is captivating, the graphics great, and you never repeat a HOG scene. The mini-puzzles ranged from easy to difficult, but all were doable. The best plus of all, for me, is how LOOONNG this game took to finish! I hate to buy a game and then two hours later it is done. This game took me several days, playing a few hours each day. I enjoyed it so much that I immediately bought two other Mystery Trackers games without a demo, and I look forward to enjoying them as much as I did this one!

Superb game
Wow, what a great game, hours of fun, Storyline & graphics were very good, Music could have been a little better. The puzzles were excellent - some of them were real brain teasers, not for the faint hearted. When playing this game I would suggest either making a map or at least taking plenty of notes as there is quite a bit to remember. Overall a fantastic game for adventure and puzzle fans alike. I would recommend this game to all my friends.
Thumbs up!!!

Great Game!
Before completing trial, knew I'd want to play entire game.
Didn't even need strategy guide as Hint was able to direct me whenever I needed guidance!
Got to end of game & was sorry I hadn't purchased the CE, as it would have been great to see how the entire story truly ended!
For me, this is as good as it gets!!

Couldn't stop playing it!
I completely adore this game. I haven't played one I've found as exciting or intriguing since. I would recommend getting the CE, because you a miss bit of good story otherwise. It's still a great game, even if you don't get the CE, of course.
The puzzles and challenges aren't extremely hard, but they're not too easy, either. I definitely found a few I had to fiddle with for awhile. There are live action scenes, which are pretty good. You can't expect super good acting from a HOG, of course, but I quite enjoyed it. It took me about 5-6 hours to complete the first time. I've played it about 6 times since. :)
I can't really think of any criticisms, I truly enjoyed this game.
Highly recommend it, and definitely in my top 5. :)

I had higher expectations
THE GOOD:
The artwork and graphics are fantastic!! Fairly long game.
THE BAD:
So much back and forth from scene to scene just to do one thing at a time. Most of the puzzles (when you finally get to them) require you to leave it to find a missing piece before getting to solve it. Some people may like this type of mouse hunt, I personally enjoy the games with more clever aproaches. The H.O.G. were challenging, but the last couple of items in each scene seemed to be impossible without using a hint, and when I did I thought to myself "I would've NVER have seen that without it".
THE UGLY:
Honestly, I don't care for how far down on the screen you have to click to go backwards. I know this sounds petty, but i continuously brought up the inventory box and had to wait for it to go back down until I could find the right place to position the cursor. It just irritated me a little.
OVERALL:
It had wonderfull images and decent story, but I guess I'm spoiled by the craftsmanship of games like the Mytery Case Files series. If you don't mind any of the things I've mentioned, then you'll probably enjoy this one alot! Otherwise, try the demo.
