Make your way across the country with words!
Love, love, love and love some more ..... this game ..... and was totally taken by surprise that I did. Definitely got my personal "wow" factor when the demo ended. "EEEK! NO! I'm not ready for it to end yet! WHAT!" - That's MY personal wow factor - lol.
Obviously set in the old west, there are various modes of play. I chose "career". It's hangman had a baby with that t.v. word game. Come on, you know the one I mean ..... pretty lady .... dresses fancy ..... COME ON! LOL. In any case, you "shoot" bottles down with letters of the alphabet creating a sentence or name or what have you.
There are only so many "bullets" you can use before you lose the level. But, that's ok, because you just start that level over and not the whole game. I hate games like that.
You can choose categories or, get this, create YOUR OWN!!! How cool is that???? Even doing it that way, which I did, as you level up it does get a bit challenging.
There are oodles of bonuses you earn. All western-oriented of course, in the shapes of guns, rifles and dynamite. I tried not to use them, when I needed to, until my last "bullet" was available and I still hadn't a clue in my little old brain.
If you like hangman you will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this game. Still taken in surprise by my love of it but I am definitely purchasing this gem.
Please give it a try. The demo is a very fast (for me) free hour. And, if you like word games, you'll love this.

Wild West Billy I actually like
I've played so many games, tired of HOGs, I do like Adventure, but just not that many of them. Been playing M3 games, decided today to try Word games. Ran across Wild West Billy. I'm 60 years old, and this game may seem childish to you, as I thought it was too. BUT, I'm really enjoying it. It's a hangman type game. You can choose a selection of songs, such as the 70's, 80's, 90's, the Beatles, etc. Then the guy puts bottles up on shelves and you have to guess the name of the song for that time period hitting the bottles with your gun. The alphabet is below, so you click on the letters to try to guess the name of the song. You only get so many bullets to try. There are times they make it easier by giving you dynamite that blows up many letters, but I find so many songs I can't remember the names of. Once you get the name of the song right, you move on. You can change any time to other time periods of songs. I'm assuming it may get harder as I go. Yes, it's probably childish, but it's fun. I didn't think I would like it, but my demo time was up, so I decided to buy. The only thing I don't like is you can go in the OPTIONS to turn down the music, but once you start playing the game, the music is loud. I have not found a way to turn it down while playing, though I moved the Options to almost off, it's still loud. That's the con of the game for me.

ok for kids
Unlike the first two reviews on this page (that are repeated exactly on multiple pages) I actually played this game. It has some fun music, movie and other categories in a sort of hangman meets wheel of fortune sort of gameplay. However, it's not that challenging and the redundant banjo music can get very annoying. The graphics are very dated and the storyline....eh. Overall not a game I'd buy.
