OK game, but.... This game could have been much better if the developers had paid attention to some details. For instance, the diary shows things that haven't happened yet. Most of the HOS are interactive and not all that intuitive - very frustrating. The HINT button is especially bad, sometimes pointing to somewhere off screen. The puzzles are sometimes very difficult, and the SKIP button is slow to charge. Gameplay, for the most part is good and fairly linear. The story is OK; strange but not any more so than others. If you can get by this and the anoying "only in the movies" when you make a mistake, I recommend the game. June 10, 2012
Too short I liked this game, but it seemed really short. It usually takes me about a week to finish a game, but this one was only a few days. And it wasn't because it was easier. Though...now that I think about it, it did seem a tad easy. When I finished, I thought I was just getting to another (maybe last) big section, instead of the credits. I would NOT spend the money to play this again. It's not worth it. May 7, 2012
Mini games abound As a player who loves mini games City of Fog certainly delivered. My favourite was the way the mini games unlock the HO scenes - a clever twist. The games were fun rather than challenging. I'll save up for the CE! June 14, 2012
Nicely done game but tedious HOS So far I'm enjoying the game but some of the HOS are tedious. I'm not fond of those that make you find one object in order to create another to find but this game is so *un*intuitive with some of the HOS items that I'm frequently having to use hints, something I rarely do. I also wish there were a way to turn off, or turn down, the ambient sounds. Hearing crows calling for several minutes while I navigate a scene is annoying. I like to have game sounds so I know if I've hit the right spot (or missed it!) but creaking noises, bird calls, wind whistling and the like can wear on the senses after awhile. That said and followed with these are personal preferences/peeves, I find the game is quite satisfying. The artwork is detailed and the storyline is intriguing. June 4, 2012
Loved it! What can I say other than loved this game. The art and voice overs were excellent. The story line had a little twist. My only issue would be sometimes I had to click on somethings in the HOG scenes a couple of times to get it to read. A very good length game. Too many times have I tried a demo and bought the game to find out I had maybe 30 minutes of game play left. The puzzles are good and different. A nice spooky atmosphere too enjoy yourself in. I would recommend this game! May 27, 2012
Issue with the Angels vs Demons... This game is awesome & hard (in a good way!), but it has a glitch, at least mine does... Did anyone else have the Demons cheating in their game? They are not suppose to be able to jump over an Angel and sit on the one next to it.... Weird, just asking, would like to know if there is a fix... July 9, 2012
That only works in the movies This game is a ton of fun. However, everytime you do something wrong, it tells you, "That only works in the movies." That's the only thing it ever tells you. It's maddening. especially when you're trying to do something that is actually right, you just didn't click it in the exact place, and then, "That only works in the movies." It drove me nuts and I'm not sure why the developers didn't program in a few more lines. Because you find yourself wanting to shout things like, "Oh yeah, City of Fog? A crowbar only works on a boarded door in the movies? A match only works on a candle in the movies?" So go in expecting this and it won't drive you up a wall the way it did me. June 29, 2012
Another Great game I really enjoyed this game, I though the graphics were good and the story line was interesting, The Hidden object scenes were for the most part different and not boring. The music was suitably eerie. The puzzles were very good. The hint button was not needed very much which was just as well as it does not really help at all. Overall this is a very good game and I would recommend it to my friends. June 17, 2012
Finally! An Interesting Hidden Object Game I loved this game. Finding the objects was more than pick and click. Sometimes there were two or three steps before you got it. The minigames made you stop and think. This game took more than an hour or two to finish. It was great to play a game that made you work at it. If the graphics were a little clearer, I'd give it a 10. June 14, 2012
My Cup of Tea!! I really enjoyed this game! The graphics are beautiful, the sound is great, the story line was very good and the game was everything that I expected it would be coming from Big Fish! Yet another winner...keep them coming!! June 14, 2012
