More Mystery Trackers This game was good, the demo, the regular game play and the bonus game. The storyline was good, although in the in I wanted a bit more it wasn't an unfinished ending like I dislike. The sound and graphics were good, if they used voices it would be even better but it was great and the visual graphics and sound were just what you want in a game. I can't say there is many things I dislike about this game and it was definitely worth the purchase. November 8, 2014
A closely contained HOPA - challenging Mystery, a bit of murder, bit of romance, family secrets and decent story line which is not the 'usual'. All of this wrapped in a tightly contained small town setting, making for a challenging HOPA. Pros: - Lovely graphics and sound, really good attention to detail - Good variety of puzzles - If you like puzzles of medium - hard challenge, then this game will satisfy. If you don't - you can skip to carry on with the story - Closely contained town environment, so you get really familiar with the setting as if you were there. (Also a Con) - Hints were great to have to hand, to help push the game along - Bonus content funny and worthwhile :) Cons: - I would have liked a quick map, as I got tired of walking backwards and forwards a lot of the time in the same areas - I got tired of seeing the same areas over and over, it wore me out a bit. Though it ties itself to the purpose of the game. - I felt the game dragged a bit (see reasons above) - Doing an action often triggered overly dramatic music when it wasn't really merited. I think advanced players (and those with more of large file game liking) will like this more than newbies - especially because of the harder puzzles. A quite challenging HOPA game, especially in terms of the puzzles. Not the fastest paced game ever, and won't knock your socks off - but it is put together in such considered manner, beautifully presented, and has a highly distinctive flavour - that I cannot help but give it a 4. Nice job Elephant. October 31, 2014
Wish I had saved my money, not a game for me!! Again, I seem to be in a minority here? Boring and repetitive!! Up 6 down 3 up 10 one object complete puzzle. Repeat that through the whole game and bonus chapter! Nice cut scenes with real people, but that wasn't enough to make me enjoy this game! Never thought I would be happy to see a HOS for a break! You know what they say ?about repeating the same things over and over?? Well, I finished it and feel like I lost way to many brain cells!! Great graphics, colors and pleasant looking HOS. But, I really don?t care if the games are graphically exceptional if they annoy the daylights out of me!! I will never ever play it again and am so sick of all the games being way to much a like? I need to stop buying this type thinking they will be GOOD! I saw it compared to Dire Grove (Which I did like) so thought I would like this! But repeating the same things so many times for ONE object and multiple puzzles isn't what I find enjoying! The soundtrack was all but silent most of the time and when it did kick in, the music didn't fit the scene at all, everything was off, odd and repetitive! Pros: Graphics Cons: Way to many puzzles and repeating the same things over and over! Bah-humbug! November 3, 2012
On the Fence with this one.. Game has a Great Story However i did not realize it til the second half Also the game is pretty creepy and scary.. Why i am on the fence is.. Too many HO scenes and worse than that.. Too much running back and forth.. And to make it all the more miserable There is No Map.. I Very Much Dislike having items in inventory that are not going to be used forEver.. i dont have the best memory in the world and i end up wandering around looking for the proper area bc i fail to remember where the interactive item was.... About half way thru this game i was bored to tears The only thing that kept me playing was the mini games Many of them were easy but i found most all of them fun.. The story got better and better though And by the time i Finished the Bonus Chapter i was glad i had played the game thru.... Another thing.. i think it went to far with the violent implications.. and the violence in general.. such as someone being murdered before your eyes and someone trying to murder you the main character.. it was overdoing it imo the story didnt need it... if you dont mind running all over the place and no map if you dont mind a lot of HOS... Then its worth playing once... and the CE has a Generous and Scary Bonus Chapter.. Overall i dont recommend this game too much of it is Boring running around... April 30, 2013
Meh. I don't like Mystery Trackers series. I've played many and was never impressed. I think of it as the poor man's version of MCF. The art is pretty but everything else is somehow boring... I don't know. To each their own. December 3, 2014
Annoying I had high hopes for this game as I think based on the visual, sound and story, it is better than The Void. Less HOG on every scene unlike The Void, but I am now in the beginning of Chapter 5 and not sure whether I should continue. First of all, it has good graphics with live actors and the story line sounds great, but this looks like MCF: Dire Grove with missing students, live actors, video, snowy scene, and it does not sound new to me. What annoys me are these: - way too many backtracking: picking one item to go 5 scenes backward, use it, then go again 5 scenes back. - keeping an item that is to be used chapters away, and the way the item stored in the inventory is not based on the time when we pick them up, making it difficult to browse through the whole list. - music is too over the top, and hearing it over and over is annoying, so I have to turn off the music. Although in terms of game length, this is better than the Void, unfortunately that is the only factor that is attractive to me about this game. April 19, 2012
Not my cup of tea I'm pretty picky about graphics- and this one didn't meet my standards. The graphics were crisp and sharp- but each scene looked murky and dirty- and overfilled with junk. I felt as if I was going from one junk pile to the next, and I'm not talking about the HO scenes. There was a lot of moving back and forth from scene to scene to find and place objects- I can deal with that if I'm moving through a beautiful environment, but this definitely wasn't it. Also, there was not an interactive map. It is not a requirement for me, but would have been a positive element and helpful with the trekking. One positive note- the game had quite a few mini-puzzles, some of which were different than the standard fare. This was my first Mystery Trackers, and it will unfortunately be my last. I found the game to be so tedious- I didn't finish it; a first for me with a BFG. July 7, 2012
Mystery Trackers:Raincliff CE This has got to be the biggest boring game i've ever played. The only thing here that had some substance was the visual and sounds. The challenges were just ...meh! To be completely honest i was falling asleep during gameplay!.That's how you should know that if a game is basically is making you drowsy and no substance to capture your attention,it's because it's a bad game. Not worth wasting your time and money on a game that it's awful.
