PuppetShow: Lost Town
A Memory Game
I found this to be a memory game rather than an adventure game. The play is mostly very tiny and obscure HOS, and then you have to remember where to go to place the object, rather than figure out the use of the object. This way, there is no flow to the game, only plodding along one object at a time. Very frustrating.

Just Not for Me.
This is based on the demo.
The town had just discovered some caves and have opened them to the public. While visiting the caves a mechanical giant snatches a little girl and runs off with her. The path taken by the giant caves in and the path through the caves is blocked. You're a detective who has been brought in to find her. You find an alternate path which takes you to a town that hasn't been visited in a very long time and it doesn't seem to be inhabited, except for puppets.
The hint button works only in the HOS which are junk piles of very small objects. In one, the clue was hook, which I couldn't find. I used the hint and it pointed to a red pepper, which I picked up.
The puzzles are simple and there is a skip button.
There is a walk through for this game, which I used a lot. However it isn't the ideal way to play a game. Without the hint button working outside the HOS and there being no map, I had no other way of getting the help I needed. This game doesn't flow and there is a lot of back and forth.
There are voice overs early on, but without running into people to talk to, it gets pretty quiet. I turned down the music because I didn't like it.
The scenery is very dull, dark and dreary. I didn't care for it.
As I always suggest, play the demo and make the decision for yourself. For me. it's a no buy.

Not like the others
Completely lost the whole game. The first two were so much better.

Done Trying With This Series
I really don't understand the vast popularity of this series. I have played the first three now, and am finally admitting it's not for me.
To like it, you have to really enjoy old-timey 18th century Victorian stuff like buttons (lots of buttons!) and shoes and monacles. You have to also adore HOS. Tons and tons of them. I don't like either. The artwork is creepy, but not in a good haunted-house way. More like Clockwork Orange, there's a sicko on the loose creepy.
I know everyone seems to love this series, which is why I gave it three shots. Unfortunately for me, they were all strikes and I'm officially out.

Fell asleep at my computer
I couldn't wait to get this game since I ABSOLUTELY loved the others. This one seriously disappointed me. It literally bored me to sleep. The story was pretty much non-existent, the puzzles were way too easy and the back and forth between areas got old really fast. Kinda felt like I wasted my money, but I got it free. Will definitely try the next one. Hopefully it will be at least as good as the others.
