I Loved Love Chronicles the Sword and the Rose This little gem of a game kept me entertained for quite a spell! Not too many junk piles and there were lots of puzzles (which I like). The artistry was very beautiful and the music set just the right mood. Please make more of these because some of us get tired of horror stories. November 30, 2011
Even Better Than the First One! I really enjoyed the first game in this franchise, and I have to say this one is even better. Like the original, this is a fragmented object game, but there are more mini-puzzles than the original. Very fun game to play. The graphics are beautiful, the fairy tale story is engaging, and the music is nice. The game length is good, and seemed longer than the first game in the series. I am looking forward to the next release! November 29, 2011
Decidedly Fun & A Great Escape I enjoyed this more than the first I played in this series, which was Love Chronicles: The Spell. The creators took this game up a notch on almost every level. Beautiful graphics. The story line was entertaining, but I think I preferred the storyline in The Spell more. That said, the storyline in this game was entertaining and perfect for the kingdom the player explores. Mini puzzles were a bit more challenging and I found myself hitting the Skip more than I would have liked, but not after thoroughly enjoying my attempts to get the puzzle solved first. As with the other game in this series, I found I did not want to leave the computer - choosing, instead, to continue moving forward to new adventures and meeting each colorful character you discover throughout the land. The game is designed to pique your interest with ingenious challenges, gorgeous landscapes and imagery, enchanting music, and mini rewards throughout the game that I found delightful and original. Tough Enough for a Great-grandma I like games that are pretty logical in their movement from place to place, and I particularly like a game that has hints that will tell you where you need to go next. I play for relaxation and enjoyment, not to get a headache trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do next. This game fit the bill for me, but might not be challenging enough for the really serious player. February 24, 2012
Couldn't stop playing Excellent game. The story line was wonderful and the graphics too. November 27, 2011
Can't Wait For The Next One This is similar to the first game, but even better. They added really challenging puzzles and also Hidden Object Scenes where you did have to find things on lists. They did not make it so easy to tell you what you should do. It made me think about where I should go and what I should do. Like the first game, you also had to do a certain sequence of actions to get a desired result for your main character. I did have to use the Hint button a little bit just to figure out what room I missed finding an important object in it. I would say it was a longer length then the first game. The storyline did lose one point because it had some typos in the journal entries which should be checked for before releasing a game. Spell check was invented on computers for a reason. :) Other than that I really liked this game and it was really fun to play. I can't wait for the next game in the series. Hopefully this prince will find true love for himself and help get rid of the evil witch once and for all. April 4, 2012
Entertaining Fantastic game, the story, the fantasy, the grafic, all aout it is just 5+ star November 19, 2011
Enchanting Game I played the demo of it's predecessor, "the Spell", and decided it wasn't long enough or good enough to warrant a purchase. The Sword and The Rose, however, definitely warrants the purchase. Enchanting storyline, enjoyable gameplay and puzzles, creative and beautifully crafted game. It left an impression. April 2, 2012
Visually my kind of game! Since I realized that how a game looks overrides how good of a story it has, let me just say that I love this game! The story starts out promising but then just sort of falls flat and never really picks up until the end. Which, by that time, is too late for those who demand great storylines from their games. But I'm just a casual player who plays for recreation and relaxation and want to enjoy looking at every scene I come across. With that said, this is just a gorgeously rendered game done in mostly pastel shades. I was sold from just looking at the preview and the thumbnail of the sleeping tree, but being a wise consumer, I always play the one hour trial and read the reviews prior to buying. And I wasn't disappointed. There's so much whimsical attention given to this game with the above said tree and the house with the moving legs, for example. And the hidden object scenes are a combination of the traditional scattered kind, a certain number of same item, and fragmented objects to be assembled to make larger objects. The puzzles are varied and challenging and each colorful scene is just a joy for me to sit and stare at. I almost feel like I am looking at pictures from an art gallery. The colors are muted and understated which make the game stand out from others and it was such a satisfying experience to play. September 23, 2012
Delightful game this kept me entertained. Sometimes I wondered if I found all the frozen roses, which, by the way, kept the storyline going. Many delightful scenes, puzzles extraordinare [loved the stiching!] and then it ended - so sorry let it go! Loved it. April 14, 2012
