WHO WAS THAT MASKED MAN? SUMMARY: A well-put together adventure-HOG with plenty of puzzles of varying degrees of difficulty. Artistry is detailed and appropriate to the type of scene portrayed. Story is well-told and develops nicely as the game proceeds. Lovely game - over 5 hours to play in casual. Some interesting details before you begin: ? Achievements. To get all, you must complete the tutorial, complete all HOS without a hint and take at least 10 minutes to play a HOS. So if you like to garner all possible achievements, plan ahead. ? Find 50 secret frogs (they take all sorts of forms and may be found in HOS but not on object list). ? HOS are list-based; usually one color predominates to increase the difficulty involved in finding blended objects ? Lots of back and forth, but there?s a limited number of locations, so traveling is not unwieldy. Plus you travel to and from the crossroads a lot, so you?ll get to know how to get to wherever you need to be soon enough. ? Who was that person in the mask at the end? Thought everyone was accounted for. November 29, 2013
Great game Mystery Trackers: Raincliff is a long sprawling game that really delivers in all aspects. It has a good (albeit hokey) storyline, good voiceovers for characters, some challenging puzzles and in casual mode, a hint button that refreshes quickly. Once I started playing, it was hard to stop. The HOS are plentiful and not that hard but present enough of a challenge to not use hints, graphics are great, and in playing the game, you'll be doing lots of running around from scene to scene. The game is not linear, and does not have a map, so you do need to keep some memory of what scene is located in what part of the game. I now have all the Mystery Trackers games, and although I didn't like "The Void", I loved this one and will now be moving onto "Black Isle" January 26, 2013
OUTSTANDING I really liked this game. The graphics are awesome. I never play with sound, so can't express an opinion on that. The map is one of the best features. You can move to another location with the map, which eliminates all the backing out and going left/right to get to the next active area. The mini games were varied and some were very hard to figure out. The information on how to play the mini games was not always enough to know exactly what was required to play. Because of this, I had to skip some of them, which kept me from winning one of the awards. That was another neat thing about the game, the ability to earn awards based on how you played. That just added another dimension that just made the game that much more interesting. The hints were right on the spot and very detailed; I used them a lot to find out what I needed to do next, eliminating the need to go to the walk through for this information. However, I did not need hints in the HO scenes. This game is almost perfect and I highly recommend it. November 26, 2012
One of the best Hidden Object/Adventure games out there. This was a great game, became on of my favorites instantly. It has a great story, and its very fun. It can be pretty challenging at times, so i recommend this after you have some experience with other hidden object games. I would compare this to Return to Ravenhearst, they are on the same level. Buy this game if you loved Return to Ravenhearst. October 23, 2012
Looooove it!!!! Really, really good game - bit of mooching backwards and forwards but worth it - got nothing but praise for this - best one I've played so far A++++++ October 13, 2012
Brilliant This game is one of my favourites from the developers. The cutscenes are well done. I found some points just plain eerie, which is exactly what I play these games for. Overall, stunning cutscenes, on-the-edge gameplay and a creepy storyline make this a must-play! October 13, 2012
Worth the Purchase! I really enjoyed playing this game. It was fun to play and kept me interested to the end. Did not get bored with this game at all and even though you had to go back to rooms it wasn't annoying, you learn your way around and it has a great adventure in it. After I played once I played again! Great game! October 1, 2012
Great game! Long game! Fun game! This game was amazing. It's a very long game in my view which makes it worth every penny. The landscape is huge and it keeps going and going. Thoroughly enjoyed this game. September 3, 2012
Rivals Dire Grove! Really excellent game in every respect. The story was intriguing, kept you guessing and had you caring about the characters. The locations are realistic and often beautiful. The music was lovely. Lots of animated touches in every scene. A few good scares, and fabulous "camera" angles that rivaled comic books, lending a twisted, off-balance feel. Really wonderful--don't miss this one. August 5, 2012
Excellent Game! I really loved this game! I hope the Mystery Trackers series continues. Great graphics, beautifully done, good story and great HO's. June 29, 2012
