Grim Facade: Mystery of Venice Collector?s Edition 4.3 5 26 26
Very good game, and beautiful! I absolutely loved the music and Venetian scenery, even if it was a little gloomy. Giovanni at the store was a nice touch, you can buy things from him to help you in the game. I can't say enough about the beautiful hand painted graphics, and there were plenty of locations to give you a nice view of Venice. I've been there before and it looked familiar to me. There isn't a ton of running back and forth, you will gradually use previous locations less and less. There are a lot of HO scenes, more than I would have liked, however they weren't terrible.. no junk piles, objects weren't replaced after you've found them (yeay!), and the locations were inventive and realistic. The hint system was the typical "nothing to do here" which was aggravating, but besides that it was a very relaxing game. October 15, 2012
A Fantastic, Twisting, Turning, Hidden Object Game!! One of the best games I've played in my 3 years of Big Fish Club participation. Storyline is a make-sense continuating story. The challenging story makes sense to follow. Vivid colors and items the correct size in relationship to the people help in finding the hidden objects. Completely interesting in every way. More like Mystery of Venice Collector's Edition? Bring them on!!! June 1, 2012
good solid ERS Good solid game as usual from ERS. They have quite a distinct way of drawing. I enjoyed the merchant of venice and buying things I needed. The scenes were beautifully drawn with movement in most and the game play fun although somewhat predictable. Unlike others I had no need of a map whatsoever. The areas ended their usefulness and then there was no need to return to them. The voice acting was pretty sad. lol Really especially near the end. And I didn't think much of the ending. You are chasing one ..oh and then there's another.. they have threatened to kill you but then are taken out by a bucket of water? ok. Is he melting? Anyway.. several hours of good solid gameplay, well done merchant, well hidden items, beautiful locations and some interesting puzzles save this one. It does look as though a lot of work went in and I appreciate that. Nice job. Good idea but a bit loose in the storyline. December 15, 2011
Easy and Relaxing This game is full of HO scenes, and the puzzles are easy. One puzzle seems bugged (puppet painting), so I had to skip it, but the rest of the game was easy and relaxing. At first it seems boring, but as you keep moving forward, it becomes much funner to complete. You don't really have to think much. If you need a game to relax with and that won't frustrate you, this is one. The bonus section was just more HO scenes and a handful of easy puzzles in limited areas. January 7, 2012
good game Not to easy for a beginner. You have to remember to get the coins during the game. The HO and puzzles can be difficult for some. You do have to move around to get clues to use. Still a good game and fun. December 7, 2012
Beautiful, but a little too easy The art, music, & animation is breathtaking, but I found the minigames & hidden object scenes to be a little too easy. I finished the demo in about 20 minutes. May 9, 2012
Not Bad One of good HOG from ERS studio as always. But prefer PuppetShow series. February 14, 2013
Beautiful, good puzzles, stilted storyline Stunning graphics and music. Solid good quality game but missing some pizzazz. Areas for improvement...gameplay and storyline is a bit stilted. Puzzles are great, but too many standard hidden object scenes for my liking (might be OK for others) and they are not always on the scenes you expect them to be ie, you have to wander around randomly Decent extra gamplay. Slow to load between scenes June 3, 2012
Great Game I really enjoyed the demo of this. Wonderful scenes, the voice overs are great. The developers have achieved that one really feels to be in Venice. The puzzles can be challenging, I had terrible problems with the first one I ran into and it took me ages to figure out how to set the code for the door lock. The HOS scenes are very well done. Nothing is impossible to find. I loved the characters and their movements. Excellently programmed. A really impressive game. I would have bought this one, especially today as it came up as the first part of the 10th anniversary sales campaign, but I won't, because one the first reviewers let slip how the game ends and how to take out an enemy, so sadly I now see little reason to buy the game :-(. However, I can highly recommend it. June 1, 2012
Entertaining A game full off variations, and a fine story. November 16, 2011
