Long game, puzzle instructions could have been clearer First of all the graphics are just brilliant. Lots of separate locations, great storyline, not too much back tracking, and the game lasts a long time. Some puzzles could have had clearer instructions, the hidden object scenes were pretty easy, and the whole thing was a joy to play from start to finish. Loved the music too. April 8, 2012
Another great BTG game If you liked the Dark Parables games, this one is in the same style. To begin the graphics are beautiful, the storyline is a little weak, the music ok, the HOs are above average (fragmented objects), and the puzzles average but fun. There are also 30 or so morph items which I think adds a layer of fun to the game. There is also a map which is somewhat helpful. So why a 5 rating? The graphics and game play are why I give this a 5. This is a relaxing, enjoyable game. It is not so difficult as to become frustrating and not so easy as to become boring. I like that the game play offers a little bit different style to other HOs. A good way to end a long day. Game play is about 4 to 5 hours I think (didn't really pay attention to that). I recommend this game. January 7, 2012
Blue Tea games does it again Blue Tea games is the best! I guarantee you will love this game! It is HO and puzzle and the graphics are to die for. But get the collector edition as there are tons of extra goodies. Be sure to check out all the Dark Parables games and play them in order. They rock as well. Get the collectors edition for all Blue Tea games. It is worth it. There are hours of extra game-play on the CO's. January 6, 2012
Just not that great! I read the reviews for this game and downloaded it straight away before testing.. BIG MISTAKE!!! I was so looking forward to playing it, from first glance it had potential, good story line, fantastic graphics. A little into the gameplay I found the HOS tedious beyond belief. The scenes are indiscriminate objects that fuse to create one larger object nice idea but done many times before.. the objects were out of scale and sometimes totally impossible to find without hints. The puzzles were ok, not very challenging but ok. The Map is completely useless, rubbish design and didnt help gameplay whatsoever. I found I was often walking aimlesly from room to room to find the next object of clue to progress, this I found boring, perhaps the collectors edition is the better option for a more full experience? Annoyingly one of the hidden object scenes didnt "kick in" til I left and re-entered the room I was in.. all well and good but I ended up walking round ten other rooms before re-entering to find it started to "sparkle", this just made me more annoyed at the waste of time spent. This had the makings of a fantastic game, brilliant story line and graphics but the game play was just tedious and annoying and I just wanted it to end! Sorry but you have been warned! It will now be deleted from my computer and never played again which I just consider a waste of money. July 26, 2012
ANOTHER OUTSTANDING BLUE TEA GAMES HOG ADVENTURE!!! Very creative story line unfolds as you have received a golden ticket for a Show at "The Nightingale" Theatre" which burned forty years prior. Your Grandfather was the Owner/Manager and, somehow, sent you this Golden Show Ticket as he has been "missing" since being blamed for the fire all those many year ago. Explore the colorful, mysterious, exciting surroundings and learn more about the the Theater's Performing Stars and the fire. When you don't think Blue Tea Games can develop another awesome game, think again while playing "Macabre Mysteries: Curse of the Nightingale"!! Enjoy! -Mama Mia- April 24, 2012
Hidden Gem I missed out of a lot of games in 2011 and this is one of them Spent 2 nights in Nightinggale Theater ( 4hr +) . Nice story yes a little predictable but the game has a nice flow You don't have to go back and forth so much picking up inventory . Usually you explore 1 area at the time. Only one negative .Sometimes it gets boring in the frog cause you are looking for almost the same things all the time. Examlpe : something round, pearl , string, and your eyes can get very tired looking for the frog things. April 20, 2012
Awesome Game!!! Originally not interested and then after playing the demo I liked it. After playing the game for what seemed an eternity, I LOVED IT! Great story, terrific puzzles, HARD FROGs and incredibly long game play. A home run for BF and Blue Tea games. I'm getting Dark Parables, no question now. December 11, 2011
Couldn't leave this behind quick enough Please see 'Mandabee's' review - it's exactly how I feel right now. I haven't finished the game yet and I'm only going to persist because I don't like to give up on anything. I dread going back to it. 'Mandabee' explained it all much better than I can - I wouldn't recommend anyone to spend money on this. I can't understand those giving it five stars!! I suppose the thing I hated most was that I had to wander from area to area with no clue as to what should happen next. The map is useless. The HOS graphics are poor and, having seen superb graphics in other games, I just hated being in a HOS scene. Etc., etc., etc. December 9, 2012
