Fun game
This is a pretty interesting game to play. Your character keeps having flashbacks and you're honestly not sure which one is the reality. It was very fun without being difficult and if you do get a little stuck, the hint button will take you right where you need to go. The puzzles were fun and HO scenes are pretty easy. I would say this game is worth the purchase.

Best Game In Years!!
This game was so much fun. I played the first Twisted Lands before and it ties into this one. The first game in years to keep me guessing all the way through to the end. You're actually as confused as the character in some places! Awesome! Can't wait for more Twisted Lands games to come out!!!

Everyone loves this... except me!
I really can't put my finger on why I disliked this game so much but I think it was a combination of things. There are no sounds except a very low background music that is so laid back it detracts from the feeling on the game. There is no map which in this case is a definite draw back. But most of the time I just didn't have a clue what to do and considering I have now played well over 500 of these types of games, I found it to be very frustrating. In fact, I didn't finish it which is the first time ever! Maybe it got better but I think I was about half way through, so I can't see it would have improved much in my eyes.
As my title suggests though, the rest of the reviews are glowing, so I guess it's just me.

A very good, creepy game
This game actually managed to freak me out a little! Its beautifully made, with some eerie looking characters and scary cut scenes. The whole story line is interesting the entire time, and the ending really had me sitting here, taking a moment to realize what just happened. It was really good, pretty easy to follow, and easy to understand the events that are happening.

One of the best!
This game is the sequel to Twisted Lands: Shadow Town, so I suggest anyone play that one before this one.
These 2 and Stray Souls are my favorites in the Hidden Object genre. Great stories, they are dark and draw you in well. The art is great, nice and crisp, no problems with items being to obscure to recognize like in some games.
This is also one of the few that I would say it's pretty worth it to get the collector's edition for the extra game play. It's not a whole lot of extra gameplay, but it was enough for me to feel it was worth it.

Loved it!
Really enjoyed this game! Loved the graphics, and the interesting puzzles. The game was well done visually, I really enjoyed finding the hidden objects as well.

Average, but fun
This game impressed me at first, but some really annoying things drag down the rating. (based on demo on regular mode)
Good Parts:
Excellent storyline. It hooks you from the moment it begins and you need to find out what happened.
Great graphics. Very modern, well designed and detailed. A lot of effort was put in to these.
The Hidden Object Scenes were great. The objects were a mix of some easy and some hard to find objects.
OK Parts:
There could've and probably should've been more hidden object scenes than there were. I found more puzzles than Hidden Object Scenes when this is supposed to be a Hidden Object Game.
Bad Parts:
Very, VERY annoying puzzles. They were really hard andicredibly frustrating.
Adding to this, the skip button took so long to charge it wasn't funny. You couldn't exit the puzzle to wait for it to charge either, because everytime you exited the puzzle, the skip bar would have to re-fill again.
But overall I did have fun wit the game and it's great if you can look past those 2 annoyances.

Senseless and Pointless
The puzzles were way too easy, I nearly finished the game in the demo without realizing it. The plot had so many holes in it, I only bought the game because I was hoping the story would make sense by the end. If you need to play another game first to understand ANYTHING about what is going on that should be made clear in the description of the game. I don't think I will bother with Shadow Town however my curiosity was snuffed out by how simple the puzzles are in Insomniac. There is a Connect-the-dots game. Just one, but it's one too many.

Almost didn't buy, glad I did.
This is a sequel. I haven't played the first game.
It's a really good game but I almost didn't purchase it. Visual/sound quality is excellent. Great cut-scenes - it's very much an interactive story and draws you in. However I have a lot of unfinished games right now that are also fun. I was playing on casual mode and didn't like the sparkles and thought, if only you could change difficulty part-way through... then I opened the menu to quit and saw the option to change difficulty and bought it right away.
It's little details like that which put this experience above similar high-quality games.
Don't be put off by the escape-the-asylum theme. It's done right for a change and you feel empathy with your protagonist and actually care about the story more than usual.
