Don't submit a phrase unless you can spell the words properly!!! This is a very enjoyable game - until I lose a game because someone submitted a phrase with a misspelled word. This may be picayune, but I'm nitpicky. If one has a computer they have no excuse for submitting misspelled words. I could not give a five rating because it is obvious the game is not reviewed for accuracy. I recommend it with reservations. April 15, 2013
Wheel of Fortune Anyone? Now, this game has some interesting twists, although it does play, somewhat, like the famous Wheel of Fortune - with one exception being there are no prizes - lol. Guess words. You can move horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Words must be at least 3 letters long. The letter that STARTS your word is what may or may not appear on the phrase board. For example, "Gun" - the "G" will appear but not the "u" or "n" even if they are on the phrase board. For the "u" or "n" to appear, a word has to START with those letters. That can be pretty tough. Especially when you only have a certain number of moves available. Every time you create a word, a token is taken away from you. And I found it impossible to earn tokens. You can "buy" vowels, phrase hints, big words (that won't necessarily help you) with your tokens. There are no bonuses that I could tell. For me, someone who is not a word game connoisseur, this was an almost impossible game for me. I generally don't play these types of games as a rule, although I will give them a try now and then. Unfortunately, this was just too difficult for this old brain. I do, however, encourage lovers of words to try the hour-long, free demo. It just might turn out to be the game of the year for you. Happy Gaming! July 9, 2014
Fun at first but limited I found this game to be alot of fun at first but found as I kept playing that the phrases you have to figure out aren't much of a challenge and also found that most of the time the letter selection only allowed me to make 3 letter words. This is quite frustrating when you're trying to get as many points as you can. I don't think this game provides much of a challenge but it's good if you're after some simple and easy fun. Not That Enjoyable! This might be enjoyed by some, but thought it was just okay. They make it difficult to use longer and different types of words, since you have to link the letters together in unusual directions. You also must use the first letter of the word, to help fill in a phrase, quotation, etc. at the top. Which gives you less options to spell a word, especially, if you've already used that same letter before. You have only so many times to complete the phrase above, to move onto the next level. I enjoy trying to guess the phrase above before filling it completely in, which is similiar to the tv game show "Wheel of Fortune". Otherwise, there doesn't seem to be much to me about this word game. Unfortunately, to me it's rather boring! I have to admit, I have both flip words 1 and 2, and this one is a little better then the first. However, I wouldn't recommend purchasing these games until you try them first. I'm more of a scrabble and bookworm adventures fan! December 22, 2011
Frustrating play The categories are fine and some of them are very good. But the dictionary is unlike any other dictionary I have ever used. Every time I play, I find acronyms that are used as words; valid words that it won't accept as words, abbreviations used as words. When I know the words are valid and the game won't accept them, it makes for a very frustrating time. May 6, 2012
