Fairly Perfect Game
I own this game and like it very much. It made me jump out of my seat a few times. Very well put together and a lot of fun. I plan to play this one many times over. Hope they make more like it.

Gorgeous HOG with Supernatural Mystery
I'm a big fan of this game. I downloaded the trial on my phone but struggled with some of the HOG scenes - they're such densely packed junk-piles that it was hard to be precise with a finger tap. On a computer screen, though, the details come alive. Decently challenging HOG scenes and puzzles, spooky atmosphere and music that is repetitive but sufficiently ambient to avoid distraction. I only had to use the hint button a few times to figure out which direction I needed to be traveling in. The evidence wall is a nice addition and helps keep the story straight without bothering with the traditional "diary/journal" format that becomes cumbersome when you have to turn 20+ pages to find the information you're looking for. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the story and would look forward to playing another game in this series.

Torn between excellent and awful...
I think it needs to be something new, and interesting. Something nobody ever thought of playing before. The game was definitely spooky (and even a bit scary.) I think they should have narrowed it down to a few hidden object scenes, and they should have added a map instead of having to keep on clicking to a new area. I liked that it is a great Halloween game, and people would love the storyline! They should have made it more challenging though.

A really enjoyable game.
I think this game has just the right level of difficulty. None of the puzzles were impossible but still made you think. There were a few too many Ho scenes for me, but not enough to spoil the game. I would seriously warn anyone of a sensitive nature to be wary. If you don't like dead bodies and the occasional fright then this is not for you. Personally I loved them. First time I've ever jumped with shock in a game! The storyline is very good and keeps you involved all the way through. I would have given this game an excellent rating if it had less Ho scenes and more puzzles, but that is just my personal preference. I will definitely buy the sequel.

Too many HOS!!
Not the best game I've played tbh, too much back and forth for my liking! it was starting to drive me nuts! you pick an item up from one place and have to use it miles away, a map would of been helpful so you can jump from one scene to the next rather than going round in circles. Thank God for the hint button telling me where to go next! and by the last half hour of the game it was just HOS throughout and not much else.
Not enough puzzles either and don't get me started on the voices!!! no emotion in them, just droning on and on. The HOS are just junk piles that look like copy and paste to me and i had to use the hint button on them too because a lot of them were so small and dark. After playing Witches Legacy which had fantastic graphics i was disappointed in this, couldn't wait for it to end!

Best HOG Ever!?!
Let me start off by saying... "WOW!" I play a lot of HOGs and I mostly like the ones with a scary theme, but 'Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek' blows them ALL away!! I love all the Mystery Case Files games, Phantasmat, Shiver, Puppet Show games and Mystery Trackers games... but again, this game has moved up to number one! The artwork is phenomenal, the story is great, the hidden object scenes are clear and fun, the music is fantastic and addition of the "evidence wall" was a stroke of genius! And the puzzles were just hard enough. I like the mini game puzzles that aren't too complicated... AND no slider puzzles!!!

terrific bargain
This is one of those games that was created from the "Collector's Edition" afterwards. To be honest, I tried the trial version of the CE and did not think it a good bargain at $14 member's price; but, at $7 for the SE, it's a bargain. Graphics and gameplay are excellent - AND the game is very long. An exceptional deal. As usual, I play on "easy" mode with music off. Storyline was really good, puzzles are engaging but not too difficult. There is a map you can view which will show you the places you need to go to next, and hints are plenty. Overall, a really enjoyable and reasonable deal!

Love it!
Wish I would have bought the CE. Great game & was thrilled that it ended "to be continued". Graphics were great; story was great. Lots of travelling.... I am originally from VT, so loved that it mentioned Burlington & took place in VT. Wish they were all this good! Can't wait for the sequel.

Long and Rewarding Game
This is the first review I've ever written here, but I liked this game so much I wanted to weigh in here. Let's get the few negatives out of the way first: LOUSY voice actors, fairly predictable ultimate plot / back story (devil powers and killing of girls, ho hum), and sometimes laughably hard HOS items to spot. But who cares when the gameplay itself is so fun, long and rewarding!! This is one of those rare games where all the elements -- your inventory, your book of notes, the characters you meet, etc. -- really mattered to both playing and solving the mysteries you encounter. And one of those REALLY rare games where the storyline kept getting more interesting as you went along, taking unexpected turns and twists. Just a terrific and satisfying game!

Awesome!
I think what I liked most about this game was that it was long and I felt like I got my money's worth! It was challenging, and I liked the fact that when I didn't know where to go I could use a hint and it wouldn't drain it. This game was awesome! Just buy it and you won't be disappointed. I am now looking for something similar to this one, but I'm a pretty tough critic.
