Fun, Beautiful Game! Lost Souls: Enchanted paintings is a hidden object adventure game. The story has you playing the mother of a little boy who has been stolen into a painting by an evil warlock, then the painting is torn and dispersed into other paintings. You go around the different paintings to restore the portrait of your son. Each painting is a unique world. I really liked this game. The graphics are beautiful, the hidden object scenes were fun, there were coins to collect along the way, which you can use to buy trophies. Each scene has a map that tells you how many objectives need to be completed for each area on the map, and you can jump around easily using the map. I thought the music was not very good, although it was somewhat relaxing. There are two difficulties for this game; I played on the harder difficulty. The puzzles were very easy, although some of them were quite fun anyway. The game was about average length for a game of this type. The ending was abrupt. Apparently, the Collector's Edition has what would be the final painting for the game. Even with that shortcoming, I enjoyed the game immensely. December 24, 2011
Acceptable But Way Too Short If you're looking for a decently done hidden object game that you can finish in an hour or two, this would be the one for you. The story goes that you are trying to save your son who has been trapped inside a painting. The only way to do so is to enter other worlds through similar paintings after first cleaning them off with a dust brush. If that sounds a bit tedious, well it is. I'll start with the positives. The game does look fantastic, as it spins through different backgrounds, gives you plenty of characters and things to do, and has some special touches. I especially liked the motion and shadows in the background of hidden object scenes. That high level of attention to detail is unexpected and very appreciated. The game also combines a couple of different search modes, as you search for both items by description and picture. Minigames are not that difficult, but are novel in their approach (expect for the torn paper bits, but you can't have everything). If only the developers had paid as much attention to the game's sound. Speech is intermittent, and some of the actors sounded like they'd just been brought in off the street. The background music is particularly tedious. If I can notice it during gameplay, it's either really great or really terrible, and this was the latter. As to gameplay, it's nothing special. Items are collected but only used within each world, and they can be completed in fairly short order. You can also play a side mission of collecting coins in order to unlock trophies. Great idea, but all it earns you is a bunch of random junk. The "free play" mode is another dead end as it simply allows you to pick a chapter and replay it. Nothing made me want to head back in and tackle something I'd already done minutes before. The game diary is extremely brief and, to be honest, irrelevant. One benefit of separate worlds is that you won't be doing too much backtracking. The game tries to be helpful by telling you that there's nothing else you can do at the moment, but it flashes it incessantly and kicks you out of the scene. I found that odd and unnecessary. When you first begin, it looks like you'll be playing in about ten different worlds, but it ends up being far less (in the standard edition anyway) and the ending is abrupt. All in all, I enjoyed the time spent on the graphics and some of the minor touches, but the negatives outweighed the positives for me. I'll stick with Princess Isabella or Nightmare Realms, both superior (and related) games that give you far more bang for the buck. January 23, 2012
Good Game for Family Good graphics, good story, several different puzzles. Could be longer. January 2, 2012
I enjoyed this game; Not becuse it was challenging I enjoyed this game not because it was challenging but because it was quick with a good story. By quick I mean I could kind of wiz through the pages without any struggle. It seems to be a repeat of another game but was enjoyable although my complaint about his game was it was too short. But then again I cant complain, I only paid 2.99 for it. November 16, 2011
Really Enjoyed This Game! Good Parts: The storyline was amazing. It completely sucked you in and made you want to play on. The gameplay. The whole game is like one big hidden object scene, wit almost everything you find being able to be used later. Very good graphics. Well designed. You could tell a lot of detail went in to these. OK Parts: For the most part, I think a strategy guide was needed. I found myself constantly needing to use the hint. Bad Parts: The hint took forever to recharge. Overall, this is a decent game that will provide enjoyment for evryone. Good for when you have a credit to use. July 10, 2012
Love Love Love This Game! This game is just brilliant in creating magical lands that you would actually want to live in. The colors and characters are enchanting. This game is probably more suited to women than men as far as color scheme and lands that you visit. There are 5 chapters; I don't know if I can remember all of them but there is a Forest Land, Under the Sea Land, Dwarf Land, Winter Land, and Castle Land. There are all sorts of different mini games throughout the game combined with hidden object games. The hidden object games alternated between giving you a word list and the actual picture of the item to find. I liked that and it kept the hidden object part from being monotonous. This game is not difficult at all, but I found it quite enjoyable. I liked that the villain never jumped "in" my face and really was just a background character. The main characters were friendly and fun. I would absolutely buy a sequel to this game. February 25, 2012
EXCELLCENT HOG I LOVE THIS GAME. WHEN YOU FINISH A LEVEL THERE IS NO GOING BACK AND FORTH LOOKING FOR AN ITEMS TO FIND ANOTHER ITEMS OR ANOTHER OR ANOTHER. GET THE PICTURE. THIS IS SO NICE. IIIIIII LOVEEEE THISSSSS GAMEEEEE. January 28, 2012
Great Game- Abrupt Ending This is a great game with beautiful graphics, not too hard, but with a few challenges and lots of mini-games. Didn't take too long to play it was only 5 Chapters, but I have to stop between chapters. I would have enjoyed a longer version of this game as I did enjoy it very much. The ending was too abrupt, I think the developers should have put more thought into the ending , maybe a final chapter on how our heroin rescues her child from the evil villan. I do like the free play mode at the end of the game, I think i'll enjoy going back and playing a chapter or two when I have time. Overall very happy with this game. January 19, 2012
best game yet This is the best game I have played yet ! The graphics were beautiful and the game was a lot of fun. I was sorry you can't play the other paintings there are only five you can play. But they were long enough and the mini games were also fun. I could play this game all day. Have already played it 3 times. you will defiantly enjoy this one. January 18, 2012
