Lovely Story and Fun Game If you're into more light-hearted, happily ever after hidden object games, then The Beach Cottage is for you! The game has beautiful graphics and a wonderful soundtrack that make the scenes more realistic. I was pulled in from the first few minutes of the demo and just had to buy the game! It was one of the first Big Fish games I've purchased and I've played it twice! It has lovely scenes, a large area to explore, and a story that will give you a warm, fuzzy feeling when it's over. In the midst of darker, more sinister HO games (which I also love), this bright and cheery story is great for those who want to finish the game happy. :) October 2, 2012
Love Story: The Beach Cottage I enjoyed this game. i like hidden object games. The story was okay but it was sometimes difficult to find the objects, which is good! Colorful and fun. November 15, 2011
Cheerful happy scenes Scenes are bright and not dark and dour, Good artwork. November 13, 2011
Charming, heart warming ...... and possibly even a tear jerker if you are in the right mood and an appropriate age. This is a delightful game that will touch your heart. The graphics are clear and pleasant, the music soothing and appropriate to the gameplay. Certainly not a huge brain teaser mini-game wise, but enough variance and challenge to make it interesting and fun. It took me a few scenes to really 'get into' the flow of the game and frankly, at first, I thought it would be a bomb, but it slowly grew on me and ultimately I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I may even play it again and I don't often play a game more than once. Thanks BFG hope you bring us more of these! November 24, 2011
Too Short and too much back and forth Nice refreshing change from dreary, dead bodies, gloomy recent games. However I found it frustrating that you slogged back and forth to pick up a single item then back and forth again. I'd like to see more games with the zip of the newer ones without the gore. Great game for patient. gamers. I liked Amber Maiden better August 26, 2012
Interesting Story but Too Short! I just finished playing this game (note that I have not played the first) and I will say that it's a sweet love story. A little of an unbelievable plot. How everyone managed to stay in the dark for decades is beyond me. But in any event, a nice love story. Go with Sandie to clear out her parents old beach house while she reminisces about a past love and tragedy. It's a mix of HO scenes, a couple of puzzles, and using objects from your inventory. Pros: I like that you will do puzzles in the current time and then do some in past memories. It's a nice way to get the back story while moving forward. The graphics and music are in a word: lovely. Beautifully illustrated and the music ties in so nicely with the theme. Very peaceful. You can choose either casual or expert modes. I played on expert and only used the hint button a couple of times during HO scenes and didn't skip any puzzles. Cons: This game is REALLY SHORT! I played the one hour demo and then finished the game about an hour later. The puzzles are not very challenging at all. If you're looking for a challenge, this game isn't for you. Overall, it's a lovely game; it's just too darn short which is a big downside for me. Don't use a game credit but a nice leisurely stroll with a DD. April 9, 2012
Sweet Love Story I very much enjoyed this game. It did not take me very long to play it, just an afternoon, but it was well done. The objects in the HOS are not too difficult to find. I only had to rely on the hint button a couple of times for those, and it worked to help figure out where to go next too. The story is very nicely done, and the lightness of the game is an excellent contrast for all of the dark, occult games out there now. The ending was very satisfactory; I love HEA's. Overall, the game was enjoyable and appropriate for all ages. January 5, 2012
A great all-rounder Graphics and storyline are excellent and just the right amount of HOS. You are taken back and forth during the playing of the game and it's an interesting tale - of course with a happy ending. Kept me amused for a few hours and would highly recommend to players old and young. February 15, 2013
A beautiful bittersweet love story This is a superb game. The graphics are outstanding. Also, this is a nice change from all the dark themes out there. An older women is remembering her first love and that's all I can say. There are HO'S and puzzles along with many objects to find. The hint button helps outside of HO'S which is a big plus. I was sorry to see this game end. Beautiful, wonderful and timeless. January 11, 2013
Finished Game Review If you want a nice laid back game with not monsters, zombies, people stealing people for you to find, then this game is for you. Being a grandma (age reference) it reminded me of old slower times in life, when we stopped to smell the roses. I admit I am a hopeless romantic so this really fit the bill. I will most likely play again someday. December 23, 2012
