The boring horseman
As much as I liked the Queen of Spades (played the game twice), as much I got bored by The Bronze Horseman. Let's call it "just a sequel" to a good game. The reason for that is, that there really are too much HOS. I like a good challenge in a game; not that I want to run around with tons of objects in my inventory, desperately looking around for what to do with them... but stumbling upon an interactive scene, telling me that I require this or that, and then immediately finding a HOS where that particular object will appear, is a bit too much to my liking, especially if this happens time and time again.
All right, the graphics are good ... but the music quickly gets very annoying. And yes, I have encountered worse games than this one, but still...
I wonder what the next sequel will bring, although I will have second and third thoughts about buying that one.

gave it a shot
I gave this a shot despite warnings about the ending. My first impression is that the graphics and game play are very old-school. The first voice-over from the little girl and the grating little evil character were enough to dissuade me. I didn't make it far and will not be purchasing.

RARELY LOOKED AT THE WALKTHROUGH
I am one of those players that HAS to have a walkthrough for MOST games that I play because of too much carrying around of too much inventory with many of said items not making sense as to their uses.
This game, however, was the exact opposite; except for 2 objects that you didn't use to almost the very end of the gameplay, all the inventory that you picked up were used within a relatively short period of time AND their uses were COMPLETELY commonsense-related!!!
For that reason, this game was VERY enjoyable to play; however, you want to make sure that you look in EVERY nook and cranny and side of screen for the crystals -- I almost missed 2 of them but discovered them just as I was about to leave the scenes to do other things.
Except for the abrupt ending that honestly, made NO SENSE, this game was well thought out, with inventory items being sensibly used and with puzzles (except for 1 that I finally skipped) that were NOT difficult but just thought-provoking (ANOTHER plus for these grey cells LOL).

haunted legends: the bronze horseman
All the "hunted" ones are good, this included Hunted Halls, tears of childhood and Hunted legends, Queen of Spades. I think Queen of Spades would be my #1, then Tears of childhood and bronze horseman both second.

Haunted Legends: The Bronze Horseman
Excellent game with a lot of scampering back and forth to different scenes! HO scenes were quite challenging!
The ending was surprisingly disappointing.

One of my favorites!
I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game! Beautiful graphics, plenty of hidden object scenes (I prefer those to the puzzles), and the puzzles weren't too challenging. The only negative thing I could write is that the ending was kind of a let down. Still a fabulous game and I felt I got more than my money's worth!

Haunted Legends: The Bronze Horseman
I thoroughly enjoyed this game and for me it had just the right amount of everything in it, HO's, puzzles. Yes you had to backtrack a few times but not so much as to be irritating. The only disappointment was the too easy final puzzle and abrupt ending.

I like hint buttons
I like to play games that have a good flow and not have to go all over the place looking for or using items. BUT the main reason I will not buy this game is that there is no hint button.

Great graphics, but disappointed with the puzzles
I played and enjoyed the first game in this series (Queen of Spades) and I liked this one as well, although I thought it wasn't as creepy.
My favourite thing about this game was the setting. I don't think it was ever openly stated where and when the game is set, but this seems to be a 19th century town with some fantasy elements to it. It's been flooded after heavy rains so it's in a state of disrepair and the location graphics are beautiful, some of the best I've ever seen. I also love the theme of horses that appears everywhere; they appear in the architecture in arches, pillars, on street signs, on gears in puzzles, on coins, as sculptures, etc. There is also lots of snail imagery everywhere. I'm not sure why snails, but there was a toy rocking horse that was a snail instead of a horse (somewhat ironic as horses are pervasive everywhere else in the game).
The villain from the previous game (the mysterious "SG") is back and appears to taunt you throughout the game, only to always make his escape. *shakes fist* This is a good way of keeping the story moving. The game locations and inventory items are also planned out so that you won't be stuck for long and are always finding new items and places to use them. Great game design.
The hidden object scenes are beautiful and were fun to do. They tend to the junk pile side, though I don't mind that look. The puzzles were also beautiful, but I was a bit disappointed by how easy they were. Not ludicrously simple, in fact they were of average difficulty for the HOG genre, but I had recently played another game by this developer that had a much better level of challenge. They did at least have original presentations for the puzzles, though.
Overall, a good game worth playing. :)
