Left me wanting more! This is the third in a series of beautifully creative "Drawn" games, and although I think the first two are more difficult and have more complex artwork, Trail of Shadows holds its own special touches that makes it worth buying. Loved: + The pop-up interactive book pages were pure genius, and a joy to play with. + Voice actors were perfect, I could listen to the old man tell stories all day. + Music is haunting, sweet, ethereal. Reminded me of Cirque Du Soliel shows. + Artwork is rich, with beautifully drawn depth and whimsy. Just OK: > Length of the game was about 3 hours, this was just taking my time. > The size of the game world just seemed smaller in this Drawn than previous iterations. Only four "scenes" to explore, all with a similar feel. > Inexplicable pigs. Pigs you clicked and collected, but nowhere was there any mention of what they were doing there - although they looked happy and contented. I keep feeling like I'm going to have them just pop up on my desktop someday, rooting around for truffles or something. The Sort of Bad: - Although gameplay suited my personality, I loved feeling like I was part of this beautiful artistic world, and enjoyed having to go back to different locations and suddenly see something I'd missed before. This might be a negative to some people though - and could be frustrating. - The custom cursor became a bit floaty and jumpy at some points, switching to regular cursor made it better. - The pop-up toolbar sometimes popped up when I was trying to just back out of a location, then sometimes did not pop up when I needed it. It can be locked in place, but I loved having the full screen without it so I just dealt with the issue. - The 3-D perspective shift was beautiful, but gave me a headache - definitely glad they gave the option to "lock" it. Although short, this rich and delightful story is still worthy of purchase. Congrats to the artists, and I hope the next Drawn is just a bit longer! November 20, 2011
Beautiful Hidden Object Game. I love the whole Drawn series, but Trail of Shadows is so eye catching that I took extra time playing to enjoy the artwork. The quests are fun and neither too hard or too easy. All in all I had a great time playing. November 18, 2011
You know it makes sense! Completed the demo, and it looks like Drawn No. 3 keeps up its' previous very high standards! Excellent storyline, graphics, plot, puzzles etc. The 'baddies' make your hair stand on end, and as you vanquish them the feel-good factor increases! I think this game should appeal to all gamers whatever their particular genre of choice.Only one small quibble - the 3D effect makes me queasy, but I'll get used to it! Apart from that. loved the game, keep the episodes coming, I will buy them all! November 18, 2011
More!! As with all of the games in the Drawn series, the graphics and gameplay are stunning, but even more so with Trail of Shadows! The puzzles were fun and weren't TOO easy. My only complaint would be that it is way too short! I finished it entirely too quickly for my liking. Take that for what you will seeing as I wanted more because it's a great game :) November 20, 2011
Drawn: Trail of Shadows Loved this game. Far too short, though; I finished in about 4 hours. At one point, my screen froze and I tried everything including uninstalling and reinstalling. I finally changed the option to stop screen movement like the little pirate said and it worked after that. Overall a great game! November 18, 2011
drawn the most fantastic game I've played all tree games and I loved it. The stories are really fantasic and I love the drawings. It's a HOG but with a twist and nothing like other HOG 's . When I finished the first game I was so happy, glad, sat with a big stupid smile on my face feeling like a childish child. I had to tell Big Fish about my experience and an hour later there was an answer back. I can only recommend this game for other HOG players. But be ware, you might feel other games a bit boring after this. ;-) kind regards to all Big Fish gamers from margrethe November 21, 2011
Great HOS This game was the most interesting game I`ve ever played. It kept me in suspence through-out the whole game, and even a little confused at times, But I would tell everyone that hasn`t played this one yet, to put your thinking caps on, because your gonna need them. GREATEST GAME EVER!!!!! and I haven`t even tried the expert level yet. November 18, 2011
My favourite game constructors I love Drawn, the most beautiful painted constructed game I know. the first game is my most and foremost number 1 . the only thing bad with this 3rd Drawn game is that itwas TOO short...much to short. Ended before I was ready too. It was a high quality game as usual. I love being transported to this cartoon world of darkness November 19, 2011
Not worth the purchase price Beautiful visually, but game lasted max 2 hours. Ended pretty abruptly. November 19, 2011
Wonderful Prequel! I love the Drawn series. The first two are so good that I often replay them which I rarely do. Once I beat a game I tend to put it away and play it again a year or so later. But the Drawn series is so much fun that I find myself starting them over again each month. So, when this one came out I had no problem getting the collector's edition and started playing it right away. I realized it was Franklin's story immediately. I say that if you liked the first two, you'll love this one too. Personally I hope they continue making new ones because I want to keep playing them over and over! November 19, 2011
