Family Vacation: California
When you grow weary of death, demons, and darkness (most hidden object games), try Family Vacation: California. Not since The Scruffs has our family enjoyed a game as much as this. We wish BF would "lighten up" and give us more like Family Vacation: California.

finally a hidden object game that makes sense!
I have grown tired of hidden object games that have you searching for hammers that are defying gravity on the window ledge or enlarged or miniature items. In this game, you are looking for items where they probably would be and they are of proper size. It is much less frustrating for me. I also like the assembly of pieces for certain objects (requiring you to find all of the pieces before it is checked off the list) and the close up searches. The challenges and games added extra fun in the mix. This game is by far my favorite hidden object game. I will have to look hard and long before finding another like it.

A fun Hidden Object Game without being dark & gloomy!
Finally a h.o.g. that isn't about a haunted mansion or vampires...just simple, fun and casual!

VERY FUN GAME
I love these games. Even though it can get repetitive, it is still a challenge to see what I remember. Nice to know a little background of the state!

A Fun Vacation Game
I've only played the 1 hour but it is a nice HOG. Fun family game, NOT just for children but fun for adults as well!! I am buying it. It is very pleasant and a definate change from all the many dark, dreary games. Wish there were more vacation games. How about vacations to Paris, and so many other fun places...maybe some day..... It was cheery, easy to see. Can't wait to play the rest of it!

Bright, Clean, Crisp - No Spiders, Snakes, Serial Killers
Now that Spring has finally arrived in Northeast Ohio, I was looking for something to match the weather -- warm, bright, relaxing. I found it!
As other reviewers have noted, I was getting tired of the dark stories. And while I did buy Gardenscapes Mansion Makeover (already had the first one) to escape the gore and misery of so many of the games, I tired of it halfway through -- not enough rooms. You keep going to the same ones and looking for the same things, usually in the same places.
Back to Family Vacation -- I bought it but have not completed it yet. So far a scene has not been duplicated. The objects make sense as to their locations. Their sizes are realistic, nothing tiny or obscured.
I can't comment too much on the story line since I am not done, but so far it has been a breath of fresh air.
If you're looking for frustration, challenge, dark scenes and even darker story lines, look elsewhere!

This is a simple game but beautiful, funny, light and relaxing.... There are no vampires, blood, nightmares, snakes or demons. The objects are not difficult to find and their shapes are clear, the images are bright and colorful, and you really enjoy it. I would love to have more games like this one to play. I recommend this game.
