Seen it all before
I'm not sure why this game got such good reviews- esp. from "Expert" players. This is one of the most boring games I've played. The mini-games were rehashes of others played elsewhere - I don't know how many times I can play a "connect the circuit" mini-game without tearing my hair out. Please people, can we try some imagination and ingenuity here= New Puzzles!! The HOGs were the usual mishmash, not quite junk piles, but not clear graphics either. Also, annoyingly, they contained similar objects as the objects listed to be found- for example - the list would include a "rope"- there would be more than one rope, forcing the player to click around to find the right one. The graphics were average. I have noticed with HOG scenes in poorer games- if the objects are very hard to find, its usually because the graphics are not well-done. I say this because I am an artist - I appreciate good graphics and can tell when something is not well-done. Also, the colors were very drab- increasing the boredom of the game.
The music was TERRIBLE- basically sounded like a quarter of a whole song that repeated over and over.
I finished the game (because I have to if I'm going to spend the money on a CE) but it will be a long time before I buy another game from these devs.

Excellent.
One of my favorite game series, and one of my all-time favorite games. Fun puzzles, good HOS, lots of adventure aspects, vignettes with different characters/stories, and fairly long game play. Challenging, but not a stumper. Recommend!

enjoyable and long
The HO scenes were inventive, sometimes you had to use objects found from the last scene and place them in the next scene. Although replacing objects after I've found them will be the death of me.
The game is more adventure than HO which I prefer.
The hint system is "there's nothing to do here, look elsewhere," and sometimes pointed me to objects I hadn't acquired yet.
It irked me that the same clown puzzle showed up again towards the end in a completely inappropriate place, but I was a huge fan of the stained glass window puzzle.
The puzzles were a nice level of difficulty, not too easy or hard, except the last (which makes sense) where I had to use the walkthrough.

Love it.
Graphic's and sounds where great,(no annoying music).
Lots of areas to search through just enough mini games not to many. Really like the crumpled photo picture puzzle.Would buy a game if it was mainly that kind of guessing game.lol

More of this, please
I really enjoyed this game. No running back and forth doing brainless things; hidden objects weren't messy jumbles; games were enjoyable. Artwork was great.

Really good game
This is a very well-produced game. The gameplay is well-thoughtout and fun. The HINT button only tells you what, if anything, is available in the location you are in, but that isn't a problem. It helps you not miss something. The HOS are good with some IA. There isn't a penalty for random clicking, but the object list updates through the search. The puzzles vary from easy to difficult, and the SKIP button charges fairly fast. I would have given this five stars, but I think the story is hokey. Otherwise, I have nothing but good things to say about this completely entertaining game.

Exciting adventure game
More for the adventurers, the HOS are spaced out to the point where you hope for one to get things you need, and they are very clear and interactive, with some ingenious little tricks. Some are "put backs", which are really cool. Storyline was great: a witch has cast a spell on a city and stopped the clocks. You have to travel back in time to save the cursed. (Kind of like House of Doors). Great VOS, appropriate music, and some new and interesting puzzles. No overclick penalties. There is a diary, which is after the fact, so not that helpful. Superb graphics. Doing these in reverse order, so hope the first two are just as good, tho reviewed as shorter. My time 6 1/2 hours causal.
