great idea but the execution was terrible in this hidden object puzzle adventure, you are in ancient china. you are helping a chinese woman, Yu, rescue her childhood friend who was jailed for claiming to be the true emperor of china. to do this, you travel around the country and help Yu search for fragments of the mythical jade dragon staff. graphics: art is average, but nothing special. soundtrack: it's possible that my version was corrupted somehow because there was no music or voiceovers. the game was virtually silent, although the sound effects -- animals calling, gates opening, water flowing, etc. -- worked just fine. adjusting the sound in game options was ineffective. downloading a fresh version of the game also was ineffective. storyline: the story is the most attractive feature of this game, and i do want to find out how it ends. however, there's lots of wandering around trying to figure out what to do next, which is not at all appealing. in summary: since i am fascinated by china, i wanted to enjoy this game, but it is nothing special, and unresolvable technical issues only lowered my opinion. five thumbs down. Disappointed! I really did not like this game at all. It really failed to generate interest from me. Good Parts: I liked the hidden object scenes. I liked the challenge they presented. Graphics were clear and well done. Hint recharged fast OK Parts: Would've liked to have seen a puzzle or two. Should have been more Hidden Object Scenes. Only found 1. Bad Parts: Storyline is poor and doesn't hook you at all. The game is a complete bore with nothing making me want to play on. Didn't like the ring of objects needed to comlete a certain thing, Would've prefered to play the game without tasks. The music really annoyed me. It was repetitive and boring, so I just played it with the sound off. This game failed to impress me. I can't see any reason to play it. August 3, 2012
I couldn't believe all the good reviews! This is a poor game. If anything its' level of challenge is too high.I couldn't even do the game with the walkthrough! There aren't enough guidelines in the games itself to help a player know what to do, exactly when to do it, and where to go next after you are finished with a task. I prefer a game with more structure in it! I wish I had never gotten this game! May 22, 2012
Aggravating game I did not enjoy this game at all. The visuals are nicely drawn but without any WOW factor just average illustration mode. The music gave me a headache after 5 minutes it repeats over and over and over again with no end. The Hint button is very slow and not very functional. I am also not a fan of factual HOAS. All in all I lasted 30 minutes before pulling the plug. This game is okay for some children but not adults. It just does not have good visual content and the HOAS are cluttered to no end which makes it hard to find very small objects that are included with very small object clutter. June 6, 2012
