Great game...till the abrupt ending :(
Fun game but the ending seemed lame and abrupt, and the story unfinished. There were two more doors I didn't get through, and there was still Tim's little sister to save. Do I have to get the Collector's Edition to do those ones? Bummer.

Shorter than the Original, Better Graphics
Haunted Halls: Fears from Childhood is the second Haunted Halls hidden object adventure game. The premise this time is similar to the first: you need to save your boyfriend, Tim, from the clutches of an evil, deranged doctor. This game is set in a space locale, and you need to save five children from the evil doctor.
This game has better graphics than the original, and the music is also good, but similar. There is decent voice acting in the game. There is less running around than in the first game. The puzzles were interesting, but on the easy side. This time, most of the hidden object scenes are interactive, with one or two items on the list that need to be manipulated to find the item.
This game was considerably shorter for me than the original, taking about an hour less time to finish. There are two difficulty levels, and I played on the hard difficulty and finished in about three hours. The puzzles were interesting, but on the easy side. Like the original, there is a plot element left unfilled, in the form of a character you never find. Perhaps the Collector's Edition completes the game. The ending was very abrupt and a bit of a let-down.
Overall, the game was fun, but compared to duration of gameplay in the first one, I am a little disappointed. Still, I did enjoy it, for the most part. If I could give it 3.5 stars, I would. I'm rounding up to four because of the graphics improvement.

A bit better than OK
I found this game somewhat predictable and not near as challenging and exciting as its predecessor, Green Hills Asylum. Still, many will find it interesting enough to buy.

Mr Tentacles is back!
Well Mr Tentacles is up to his old tricks and Tim has dissapeared again.
I love the last Haunted Hills game and this one looks like it wont dissapoint.
This time we are sent into a world of fairy tales on our quest.
I only played the 1 hour trial and it had me really busy right from the start.
Crazy Hog scenes, no click penalty, creepy music, semi fast hint refill.
These games keep you really busy, that is what I love about them, so much to do and see!

Good game, scary but not offensive....
I enjoyed the creativity in this game. The graphics were superb, music appropriate and gameplay challenging enough to keep the story moving without getting stuck.
I didn't need any help at all.... ie. strategy guide not necessary.
Although the storyline can be considered dark and scary, it was actually presented in an appropriatedly appealing way that carried the theme on without offensiveness.
The ending was a happy one for each character and there was no overt negativity or evil/occult prevalence which is nice for a change!
It was rather easy but a fun game to play.

Great game - fun to play!
I bought this and it was money well spent. I play a great deal of HO and Adventure games here and I must say that this was fun. Hidden objects were somewhat easy to find, but not so much that you zipped through it. The inner challenges were somewhat simple, but still fun. The story line and graphics were great. I think the length of the game was just right.

Incosistent
Horrible voice acting, but beautiful artwork. Somewhat challenging lengthy parts, mixed with ridiculously easy short parts. That pretty much sums this game up. I'm actually regretting this purchase. Not as interesting or fun as it sounds, or looks.

Fears of a Good Ending
The game started good, but then went downhill fast. The ending sucked like an expensive vacuum cleaner.
