Not so good The game screens are too dark - it is almost like the creators think the darkness will make finding things harder but it is just annoying. November 15, 2011
Amazing game! This game is great! The decoration reminds me the movie Sleepy Hollow, and the story brought me back to childhood to my favorite fairy tale of Bluebeard. I also liked that the game is not difficult to pass. November 12, 2011
Terrible Game!!! Admittedly, I am not an expert at Hidden Object games, but with the help of the hint button, I'm usually able to get through a game. I try to use the hints ONLY when absolutely necessary, but when I do, I expect SOME help.. This game might as well not HAVE a hint function as it is completely useless! The hint says, "Look around the castle and grounds for clues." Duh! That's a great help. I'm sooooo glad I tried it before buying. I wouldn't play it again if it was free! January 14, 2012
Terrible! I've played many HO games of many different skill levels; some with more player advantages than others. With all of them, however,at least you could always find a way forward. This is awful! No hints,no helps,no nothing to suggest a path..Nothing! Never even got very far. Got to one point where I had three ways to go and each way seemed a dead end. It was frustrating and maddening. Not a good game to play if there is a lot of noise and craziness going on around you either. I am not a quitter. Even my daughter says that I am the only person she knows who will "beat a game to death" until I conquer it! This one, however,I dumped and fast. I can definitely find better things to waste my time on that this! December 8, 2011
lousy the controls are bad try to leave a room and inventory keeps popping up, then leave areas and it has to load, both me and my wife have newish computers and enough ram to hold everyother collectors edition so that was unnessasary, I didn't even finish the game after buying it. we buy a lot of these games every month, don't waste your money December 4, 2011
Bluebeard's Castle The game is too confusing. There are not enough hints. November 26, 2011
Loved it - but! This is a fascinating game, with lots to do and a great atmosphere. I would have given it 5 stars, but - the loading is so slow it really put me off. I LOVE those hint buttons which point you in the right direction when you are hopelessly lost. This one all too often said that I needed to explore. Oh dear - not much help at all! November 17, 2011
Love this game! This game has everything enjoy in my favorite type of game (Hidden Object); The story line is dark, the scenes' art is dark, eerie and well drawn, giving a creepiness to the scenes (I love gothic old buildings, cemetaries, tombs, with spirits). There were a lot of clues to find and puzzles to solve..I did have to refer to the Walkthrough sometimes to figure out what to do next, as the hints don't give you details in the Casual mode. All in all; this game was lots of fun and I certainly recommend it...It plays like a Collecters's Edition, but only costs the same as a regular one. May 8, 2012
Interesting - but not very challenging! I quite enjoyed this game, but where was Bluebeard? This was his castle and basically you went around taking most of it apart and all you hear at the end is that he got away!!! Not Good!!! The game itself was quite easy. There was no map - this made navigating a bit tricky in the beginning, but much of the action tended to focus on each new area as you opened it - so it wasn't too bad. The puzzles and hidden objects were quite easy and many of them solved themselves, or were solved by pressing the hint button, which in my opinion gave too much of the game away. Generally not bad - but nothing special! By the way - did anyone notice that the music was from the Hellraiser movies - sorry - big fan - a pity this game wasn't in the same league as they are! FASCINATING--A TRUE HIDDEN OBJECT ADVENTURE! Almost every game says their story line is IMMERSIVE and Bluebeard's Castle absolutely hits the mark!! Not to mention lengthy, colorful, creative. Developers have truly taken out all the stoppers and just let their imaginations, skill, talent and hard work FLY! Gotta love it!! Of course, every great masterpiece has a flaw--to wait for some scenes to download. For all the graphics and mesmerizing game play, I can totally understand and appreciate! Would I criticize this game one iota? I think not! Rather, I am thrilled to own this auspicious adventure at such an affordable price! Enjoy! -Mama Mia- April 17, 2012
