Awesome game! What more can I say ......its a buy for me! I liked it mostly because the HO's are not hard to see, story line is great, I can't wait to get back to the game. I have to admit I had to hit the strategy guide a few times, but I love a challenge (as long as I know theres a place to go for answer) Voice overs are pretty good also......and theres a bonus by buying the CE today extra punch I will get a free game on the 15th ! A 2011 Best This was one of the best Hidden Object Adventure games I've played this year. Great graphics, tough mini games and lots of twists and turns. It has my vote. Thanks. November 13, 2011
Gripping from start to finish From the exquisite graphics to the wonderfully plotted storyline, this game is a winner from start to finish. Three levels of difficulty makes it easy to select what sort of game experience you'd like - from Casual to Hardcore. The cut scenes are almost movie quality and the hidden object scenes are fantastic, beautifully rendered in every way. Completely recommend getting the CE for the extra chapters. Immersive, beautiful and thrilling. November 16, 2011
Incredible Hidden Object/Adventure Game! The Keepers: Lost Progeny is one of the most amazing games I have played in a long while. The hidden object scenes are intriguing and just the right difficulty for me. Puzzles are excellent and not too obscure. The sleuthing work you must do is quite challenging, but not impossible. This game has even beat the 'Ravenhearst' games in my opinion, and I truly love those games. I purchased this game immediately after playing the demo. Try it, you will not be disappointed. Spooky Overall, I liked this game. I loved the storyline, kinda spooky & creepy. The puzzles were challenging while not being so hard you never had a chance at solving them. The hint recharged quickly and the strategy guide was very helpful. The only thing I didn't like was the overall darkness in the hidden object scenes. I have poor eyesight, and it's really difficult for me to pick out a black object hidden in the black background of some the scenes. I ended up using the hint button more than I like to. But overall was a great game, and I hope a sequel is coming soon! December 4, 2011
It was a decent game. I will start on the fact that I try to stick to a certain amount of credits for as of right now, so I normally do not buy a collector's edition unless I'm completely antsy. On that note, I did end up buying the game, so I obviously expected something completely thrilling. I loved the idea of the storyline. The graphics were good, the sound was good, the music I kept high enough to try to stay in the moment with the game. I really enjoyed the puzzles as I played. I did not see them as too hard or too easy, and I'm sure each person will find different puzzles difficulty differently. I stayed up the night with a little ill one, so I played through. I admit that I did skip out on a couple of puzzles after letting my patience get the best of me. The storyline and interaction is what I was hoping to bring the game to a "wow" factor. I would have enjoyed maybe more storyline and interaction. Personally, I like to feel like the game is open ... free to roam and different places and interactions. I think I was hoping for a more detailed area and storyline and that is why my rating is not amazing. I definitely would have been fine without the collector's edition and probably happier, although I will admit that one of storylines to one of the extras did leave me feeling better about getting the collector's edition. I will say that I was up playing it throughout the night and was focusing on other things while doing such, so that could be a factor, plus I usually don't get a collector's edition unless I'm really feeling it or it's the only choice. So, maybe I'll replay it and then review my own review :P November 16, 2011
Good CE game Enjoyed this one; not too difficult, good storyline, and excellent bonus content. Three modes of play so you can choose your level of difficulty and (on the easiest setting) plenty of hints. Strategy guide is also well laid out. It won't take very long to play through if you sit down and go straight through, but it's not too short either. Just about long enough and difficult enough. In short, well worth the price. Made me jump! I love SCARY movies, and SCARY games! I loved 7th Guest and Phantasmagoria back in the day, and look for games with good stories and an evil villain! This one is fabulous fun, and the antagonist is as malicious and conniving as one could desire; the settings are marvelously well-drawn and eerie; the HOG scenes are exactly the right difficulty; and the cut scenes are squeaky-shrieky! Definitely not for little kids, though--but if you like a good scare and a few hours of dark puzzling, this is your meat! Enjoy! November 18, 2011
At its best to kill your vision. Order glasses before you play. This game could have been a hit but it has lost a whole bunch of critical points. First of all - English is unbearable. The game was developed by the Russian crew but they should have run the grammar by a professional English translator. "There is no recipe. I must find HIM." There is a lot of stuff like that in game. Not professional. Annoying. The storyline is good so the graphics. The gameplay is simply terrible. First of all the puzzles are either super easy or they have no logic sense whatsoever. The strategy guide says ? the solution is random. Oh yes. Especially when you cannot solve a puzzle and you play in the hard mode. The HOS are horrid. Games are developed to enjoy not to kill your eyes. The objects are super small and blended in the background so badly you cannot see them at all. Now, you click 3 times on objects and you miss, no matter how much you wait, you click the fourth time and miss again, the cursor crashes. Days when the games were all about HOS are gone. We are playing adventure games where HOS is just a nice to have ?fun factor wanna be addition? to your adventure to get objects. Not in this case. I played in hard more and even my wife who is the pro in the HOS COULD NOT find 2-3-4 objects so we had to go back to the strategy guide to get an idea where they were. Enough on HOS. The gameplay itself should have been a lot better. You walk into the room and it is too dark. No matter where you click you get a zoom in cursor. It makes you think you cannot do anything until you come back with the light. Not in this case my friends, out all the objects you see (scenes are overloaded with objects) you must click the window even though it gives you the same zoom in cursor. Bonus chapters did not impress me at all. They were too short and too simple I felt like they were developed in the rush. A solid C+ game. Do not buy. Move on. Especially CE. August 9, 2012
I liked it alot After playing the new keepers I looked and found this one. Like them both even though they are pretty much the same in game play. Good fund game. I will say playing the CE is better because it gives you the conclusion of the story where as the SE does not. April 29, 2013
