Supurb SE game release.
Hello all.
I have only played this game for 42 minutes. I stopped to exit and buy in case it exited me.
It is of such good quality & checked to see if it had been previously released as a CE which it has not.
There are two modes to play which are changeable in game.
The options are sound, music, custom curser, full screen, and ratio aspect, which means that unusually my lap top screen is filled.
Further more there are options in some of the scenes to go "wide screen" and enable scrolling for a more panoramic experience, but the fact it is an option means it caters for those of us prone to motion sickness.
I can understand why they included the option though, the scenery is stunning & graphics are excellent on my lappy.
There is also a voice over at the begining of chapters.
The story is a bit different too & has intrigued me.
I played on easy mode so I don't know if the harder mode has these options, (and there is a skippable tutorial) but you have goals to for fill, like "enter the tent" . The hint system will give you a general hint on one click & a more detailed hint on subsequent hints.
There are Hidden Object Locations (HOL's ) and some times it is find 10 of this etc but also fins many objects, which you would expect to find in the location.
I have come across 1 mini game that was unique and enjoyable.
You collect achievements along the way.
I have absolutely no idea why this game is as SE. May be it is something to do with length, something i have no idea on I'm afraid, but i will post back later to give an idea. {Others have indicated @3 1/2 - 4 hours game play}
All in all this is a brilliant game so far & I am off to buy.

Mystery Stories:Mountains of Madness is a thinkers game
H.P. Lovecraft is a great writer and this game does his writing justice. The challenges are for someone that wants to use their mind to solve things and yet it follows traditional hidden objects games. You must figure how to use tools and combine items from an inventory so you can uncover what madness has perhaps taken the researchers. I found the game hard to stop playing, it is compelling in its story. The graphics are excellent and you even get scrolling ability with it. This is a 5 star, going to be a Classic that other games will copy for some time to come.

Excellent Game!
The game is short (took me a litlle over 2 1/2 hrs to play); however, it's well worth the money! The graphics are excellent, great story line, creepy creatures, some really awesome scenes. You have the ability to scroll right or left, but you can disable the scrolling as well, an option not generally available, but I like it as I do not care for the scrolling.
Once you use a hint, it's available again immediately, also the game includes an "advice" button, which really makes it seem like a CE. Cool, because you're actually getting a CE for the price of a regular game.
There is no walk thru, but, come on, with all these neat features, you don't really need one.
All in all, a very great game to have as your own, for the low price of 6.99!

Great Sci Fi Adventure!
This game is a great break from the usual!
Fantastic options in this. You can choose from 2 difficulty levels. There is an option for scrolling screen or not that can be changed at any time during play! It actually provides 2 hint options. One is Advice which gives you a text clue. The other the hint button that actually points the way.
The story is fun. Finding lost explorers. It keeps you very involved. There isn't an over abundance of hidden object scenes but the ones they do have are fun. Same with mini games(puzzles).
A great break from eerie mansions and dark forests. This is mainly set in the mountains and never has a dull moment. They keep you very busy on many different levels.
Since a walk through is not yet offered there is no way to judge the length at this point.
Absolute buy for me!

Great Advenure HOG
I almost passed on this one because of the Lovecraft connection. No offense to anyone who likes his works, I have never been impressed by the ones I?ve read or found them in the least bit frightening. Just an aside, what was it with that guy and tentacles anyway (was it a Freudian fixation (hee hee))?
But, I did play the entire hour of the demo and am glad I did. I thought the artwork was very good. I have trouble with the grainy or blurry scenery you find in some games. While not as crisp and vivid as I prefer the graphics are well within my comfort range. They are a bit muted in some scenes, but not unclear.
I get motion sick easily so I really don?t like it when all of a game?s scenes scroll. But I tried the scrolling scenes in this game and was happy to say that I could use that feature without discomfort. The scrolling option gives much more depth to ?look and feel? of a scene so I was happy that I could take advantage of it. I recommend that even fishies with sensitive tummies give this a try because it does add so much to a scene.
The HOScenes made me pay attention but were on the easy side. I did think it was an interesting choice by the Dev?s to require that you finish a HOS before advancing. I have never played a game where you can?t leave an HOS unfinished and return to it. I?m not complaining about this, just thought it was unusual. The puzzles I encountered during my trial period made me think but were logical enough that I could figure them out.
I just got to the part in the game where you begin to play as different people and really liked it. Am curious to see how many different characters you get to ?be? as the game progresses.
Now for my usual pet peeve, the soundtrack. It started out great, wind blowing, great voiceover, etc. But as I progressed the music became very repetitive so I had to turn the sound off. Granted it was on longer than some games, but still had to turn it off.
This is a definite buy for me, just need to wait for payday.

Intriguing Game
Was a great game with a great story line. had a lot of good mini games I used the hints twice when it seemed there was no place to go but all in all this is a great game. Loved the way it interacted with the two main characters going back and forth between the two. Also there was the HOGs where some of the objects were used in different places This one had all the HOGs that I love. finding pieces of an object, finding objects and having to find objects to open other scenes in the game. Kudos to the producer of this game.

Creative!!
Oh how I wish I could have met a live Elder Thing. I felt so sorry for them.
I truly felt the icy cold. It has an intriguing story. Art work remarkable, programming superb. Music relevant. The voice of one of the male characters truly added to the game.
Be prepared to be challenged but once you get into the game it becomes more intuitive. I swear I was lost a number of times then that is, for me, what keeps me playing HOG's.
It was not always obvious how to open doors the game has an Advice as well as Hint. to assist the player.
HOG scenes were well done but not difficult.
Like many HOG's there is just times when nuances of the game are not intuitive, lacks logic, story may seem disconnected or incomplete but while all this seems frustrating this game still drew me in as a player. I truly enjoyed and if you decide to play I hope you will too.

Unique Story & Clever Puzzles!
A truly engaging story and unique puzzles make this a 'great play!' The game has a lot of components that set it apart from a lot of HOGs. My only complaint is that it didnt seem long enough. #I finished in around 3 1/2 hours.#

Adventure
Great storyline, keeps you hooked! The adventure and action is frequent, also keeping you hooked! However, I did have difficulty finding some objects due to the unusual artwork. I found the game difficult at times in that I wasn't sure what I should do next. The hint button does sparkle the area you have to do next so that helped, but I hate resorting to that. LOL. I liked the progressive hint system. The music was good. Unique gameplay in that it switched between characters to allow you to complete tasks. Gameplay was average length. Have fun!

Enjoying this game!
So far I am really enjoying this game. Has a multiple set of puzzles, not just hide and seek, which keeps my attention going. I definitely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys an easy-going game that has challenges, but not so much that you get frustrated. :-)
