Just a nice little game....
When you have wolves and a curse you can be sure you automatically have... werewolves. That's what this game is all about, or so it seems.
After a brief intro movie that is sort of creepy and an eery music, a simple cutscene introduces you to the story which, like the rest of the game, is rather simple. An effort has been made to offer us voice-overs that sound natural.
The artwork is splendid, neatly drawn, nicely colored, very artistic.
The in-game music, though not disturbing, is repetitive and boring. Besides, one of the tracks has already been used elsewhere.
The HO Scenes are a bit of a clutter but they're neat enough to find most HOs without despair. Some are interactive, others not.
Hints do not recharge very fast, but you can click as much as you like without being penalized.
It's easy to hunt the useful items in this game, and putting them to use doesn't require a genius's IQ either.
Same thing for the puzzles; no difficulty. But there are not many of them as the emphasis has been placed on item-hunting
No map necessary as navigation is straightforward, the linearity being high.
Add to that 3 Difficulty Modes and a widescreen option.
Strangely enough I didn't see a Bonus Chapter in the Extras. The SG gives access to the first 4 chapters which can be completed fairly quickly, judging by the point where I got to at the end of the demo.
There is no indication as to whether the game has more than just 4 chapters.
Overall, a straightforward search-and-find "adventure", not much different from Curse of the Full Moon, lacking originality and minigames but pleasant to play. It will probably seduce many werewolf fans, younger players or anyone looking for something simple.
I am not sure the CE is worth the extra money; just wait for the SE....and see. [what a bad pun ! LOL]

Enjoyable, but very repetitive formula
Again, this is an enjoyable, simple and visually pleasing release from ERS. Overall, this game is the same exact formula we have seen numerous times, with slightly different scenes and a slightly modified storyline. I do continue to play their games when I am in the mood to relax and not be challenged. I know exactly what to expect.
However, with that being said, I did notice a few improvements this time over some of the more recent ERS games - which is the first time I can say I have noticed anything different. I was beginning to think these developers were determined to continue turning a blind eye to any constructive criticism.
There was a third difficulty level, which was supposed to remove the unnecessary verbal guidance for each and every inventory item. This was true for about half of the items found - so that is a good thing. For the first time, there were a few places where I did not instantly know what to do next! But - it is clear the developers are still reluctant to let the player figure things out on their own. Hopefully the next release will remove these types of comments entirely on the hard mode.
Additional improvements included overall continuity with the artwork and graphics. I did not notice any rough "concept art" style scenes in the game, which I have noticed in four or five more recent games by ERS - as if they never finished refining parts of the final product.
One disappointment was that some scenes in the last chapter of the regular game seemed to be pulled almost directly from Haunted Halls Fears From Childhood (boy in the tree chapter) - yes I actually went to the walkthrough and looked because it seemed that familiar! And there continues to be too much recycling of the same soundtrack!
Fortunately, there are many, many other games out there that offer a greater challenge than ERS games. However, they are still a good choice for beginners, or for more experienced players who just want to relax and not think too much. Hopefully, these developers will offer a true increased difficulty level in the future to broaden their audience. According to their website, we should be seeing something new in the design of one of their upcoming games - I hope so!

Nothing New
Well ERS has done it again. They've put out the same game as always, with a new name. It has the same music, the same gameplay, and the same lack of fun. There are 3 levels of challenge which seems to be the norm these days.I wish there was a fourth. one with a fast recharge and no sparkles. I try to ignore them as much as possible, comforting myself with the knowledge that I was going to look there anyway. I always play in the casual mode simply for a faster recharge and this one takes way too long. The graphics are beautyful and the story is okay, but nothing new. I played for twenty-five minutes, and in that time the voice overs are well done. I don't think there is an original thought in any of the developers at ERS. I'm sorry, it's a definite no buy for me. I will however recommend the game for those of you who aren't as jaded and bored with the same ole, same ole as I am.

Disappointing, feels like I've played it a dozen times.
PROS
ERS never disappoints with their graphics nor their easy game construction of never having to wander far for items needed. Voice overs good also.
CONS
Repetative music drones on and on.
No challenge in puzzles, aimed for youngsters I think.
Some items in HO scenes were too dark to see.
Boring story.
I won't bother to play this again, have already uninstalled it. Many of the CE games are so good I play them again and again, but certainly not this one.
If you want an easy romp or to play a game with young children, I would recommend it. If you are a seasoned adult gamer, don't bother with it.

It's ERS- That should tell you all you need to know.
I love all these reviews that people write after playing the demo for less than 30 minutes. "ooh, must be one of the first to write a review!" They get the bare minimum facts and then rush off to tell the world about this fantastic new game. Just wait, please, just one day. Finish the flippin' game, not the trial, and THEN write the review.
Really wish I hadn't wasted the two credits on this game. Wouldn't even buy it as an SE game due to the abrupt ending. There is no resolution; you'd think that since you're brought in to "cure" the little girl, that by the end of the game, she'd be cured. But then they'd have to come up with another way to keep spinning this series out. Won't be buying any more from this, like PuppetShow, it's getting tedious, repetitive, stale, repetitive, and so boring it's painful. Oh, and repetitive!

really good game
Good voice over and graphics. The game is pretty long and holds your interest. I love ERS games. The HO are not hard and the game is not that difficult to keep up with getting clues. Worth the money.

Excellent!
Beautiful, painting-like graphics. Story line was was very good and worth following and the voice overs were very good and fit perfectly with the story. The length of the game was perfect and the CE extras worth it. I love ERS games and their graphics of old-world European style drawings that are beautiful and make the items hard to find, but not impossible, some of the time! ERS games are so far removed from the computer generated graphics that look too phony and too sterile. This game is well worth playing all the way to the end.

Exciting story line, content and gameplay!
I'm used to my usual Mystery Case Files, but I felt that this held up to that standard. With an excellent and compelling story line and game play that didn't get boring. It didn't focus on the same screens over and over. You kept going forward and didn't have to go back to the same HO screen over and over. The soundtrack was enjoyable to listen to.
With the Collector's Edition you got extra game play once the main story was complete. This wasn't just something extra to be played, it added to the original story line. So without the Collector's Edition, you'll still have a great story.
The puzzles were easy enough to be solved but didn't have to think and think and think about. They weren't easy enough to be boring and not hard enough you got sick. They were right in the middle. Not too hard and not too easy.
I would recommend this game to everyone. No matter what you skill level it will hold your attention without getting frustrated.
I hope you will enjoy this game as much as I did. Good Luck on solving the mystery and stop Veronica from turning into a werewolf.
<grin> there is a mistake in the first scene of the game when you're talking to Veronica's adopted mother. HINT: look in the mirror on the wall of the carriage and look at Veronica's face. Haha for this little overlook in the game -or- did they put that there to see if everyone was paying attention?

Same Old, Same Old
This game got boring really quickly. It seems that every other scene was a tedious hidden object scene. It's getting difficult to tell a lot of these games apart. Maybe it's just me but I really hated the wolf shooting part.
